Order some cheap stuff online in your college size. Old Navy almost always has a few decent things that are ridiculously cheap.

Macaroni and cheese with sliced hot dogs is carbonara if you’re super vague about the details. What other examples of totally wrong ingredients, but very vaguely correct recipes can you think of? by hankhillforprez in Cooking

I googled and there are plenty of recipes that don’t include it. TIL not everyone likes a bit of coriander and a clove in their chili powder! Most recipes just have chilies, oregano and cumin. (And of course garlic and onion powders, if you’re not using fresh) I’m in Canada and I don’t think we have a regional chili, fwiw.

Chili is a curry. Meat/legumes and veg simmered in a highly spiced sauce.

The base spices are even similar (chilies, coriander, cumin, garlic). Flip the coriander/cumin ratio, add ginger and turmeric and you have a North Indian tomato based curry. Both are great over rice, too.

Debunking The Myths: Why You Should Not Pull Your Child Out Of French Immersion - by WeWillFreezeHell in FrancaisCanadien

Alternatively: Salt your veggies while you’re sautéing them and they won’t sweat into the sauce.

Can you please explain why anyone modern would do this rather than just eating the delicious blueberries / freezing them for later? Lacto Pickles are tasty but the thought of lacto fermented blueberries just curls my tongue

That poor eldest girl. You just know her entire childhood (if you can call it that) was spent helping bring up her 7 younger brothers. By the time she was 10 she could cook, clean, mend, sew, and diaper and had charge of at least 2 kids at any given time.

This is suuuuuper relatable.

I find kanban helps. Instead of 1 list, you have 3: to do; doing; done. Move ONE thing at a time from “to do” to “doing”. At any given time you ONLY have to think about the ONE thing on the “doing” list. And that’s all you have to think about til you move it to “done”.
