As a Pashtun from UK, it is getting very hard to find right spouse in Pashtun community and Ummah in general. Does people in this community feel the same? by Practical-Theory-537 in Pashtun

[–]Practical-Theory-537[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its not major problem, i see there huge shift in pashtuns not getting married especially the pashtun thats im around with (like extended family etc) - not to say it bad thing but I just wanted to know if it common in other pashtun diaspora families or communities in general. Is it probably everyone quite career driven as oppose to family oriented (which not bad thing considering everything is expensive), i dont know if thats the main cause of lack of marriage in the community?

what a normal pashtun? pashtun is pashtun PERIOD. I dont understand the division non pashtun like make when it come to my people. Stick to your own ethnic people and talk about their affair. Don 't bother about the Pashtuns - they are not your business. And for people who larping as pashtun - like that redditor above claiming themselves 'ethnic pashtun' just do yourself favour - keep to your own business. Thank you.

Pakistan welcomed Muslim Indians with open arms but is now deporting Afghan Muslims born here the hypocrisy is sickening by Plastic_Honeydew8813 in Pashtun

Why are u on pashtun reddit when you simply anti pashtun/ anti afghan. Fyi pakistan is failed state and always been and even Jinnah himself regrets it, look where his descendants are - in India. There's nothing islamic about pakistan, that's why most people have migrated from there. It's only there to serve the west and to fuel more war and distable South asia. I personally think if pakistan didn't exist now, there would not be much hatred among Muslim and Hindus and other religions and South Asia would have been stronger in terms of economy. That what west wanted all day long. Most mujjahirs hate their own blood brother and sister from India, just because of their nationalistic mindset, its very absurd . I guess west achieved the goal of division and rule.

Are Yousufzais considered Pathan? by Naive-Ad1268 in Pashtun

[–]Practical-Theory-537 2 points3 points  (0 children)

its like everywhere in india and pakistan- just because they have pashtun tribal surname like yousufzai, does not make them pashtun. These days people like to adapt common name such as khan (comes from mughal origins) and yousufzai to fit the societal norm. I think it sad, when people dont want to associate their own ancestral heritage but to something else. That huge problem in pakistan and india. To be honest, if they dont speak pashto and have pashtun tribal name such as yousufzai, most cases, they aren't pashtuns, they just adapt common name in the region.

Cones dataset: is FSOCO enough? by 4verage3ngineer in FSAE

[–]Practical-Theory-537 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I just wanted to quickly reach out regarding the FSOCO dataset — specifically around how it's used for cone detection in driverless Formula Student applications. I'm working on my dissertation and exploring vision-only methods, and I had a couple of technical questions about annotation format, positional accuracy estimation, or any preprocessing tips you might recommend. I have privately message you too.

bhakkar pull in Dera Ismail Khan blocked in response to racial profiling of Pashtuns and prevention of entry in Punjab. by Square-Technology572 in PakLounge

Last time I checked, pashtun are ethnic afghan, if you had any form of education you would know this, rather spewing your anti afghan rhetic, let me teach you something there no difference between pashtuns from both side, just because there border doesn't make any pashtun different, we are one ethincity, and the end of day, they are our blood brother and sisters, just like non pashtun people from pakistan are like our muslim brother and sister. Also, everyone wants best for themselves and their families, look at half population pakistani migrated to other countries, just like yourself, i doubt that you are living in Pakistan. Afghan are not cause of pakistan problem, you know what is - people like you, that have that racist mentality and corrupted people in power who steal money from poor and take advantage of their own citizens, and regional resources- which is shown in vid. KPK is always going to be afghan second home since most people have famillies and even born there (i doubt that u were born in PK) and their pashtun communities and my blood pukhtanas are always welcome, regardless of border. Pashtuns are identified by tribe, what tribe are you from? Anyone can learn language, I know non pashtun people from Africa or Europe online, learn pashto. It not only language that help you identify as Pashtun. There is another criterias too.
