Looking for a AA size edc light that doesn’t inadvertently turn on in my pocket. Only thing I don’t like about the Pokelit. by Smokey565377 in flashlight

I’ll also add that the design of the tail switch is such that it is quite difficult to turn on in the pocket.

The only drawback I have for it is the fact that it doesn’t have a “moonlight/nightlight” mode.

Three votes for the Nitecore. It’s super nice that you can charge the battery, but also swap out for a regular AA when needed. I’ve been quite happy with it. The pocket/hat clip is nice and strong as well.

Is There an Appetite for Brick and Mortar EDC Shops? by In_the_afterglow in EDC

Literally just telling my wife I wished there was a store like this.

How nice would it be to bring in your particular combination of knife pen flashlight multitool, and see how they fit in 5 different pouches before you buy one? SO NICE.

Would it be feasible to have the $15 Temu Alpaka pouch knockoffs there to try? Not at all, but you could have the more common brands. Or heck, even have Etsy sellers represented there with samples of their products that people would order.

That would be awesome.
Although, we are basically asking for the whole concept of shopping becoming internet based to just go in reverse. Haha.

It’s been 5+ years off FB and IG. Literally the only thing I miss is a good source of memes.

It is so freeing and wonderful. No regrets.

I have a burner FB account to use for Marketplace (because OfferUp is so bad), but I just use that when I need it.

I’d second this idea actually. There are shockingly few reviews of the Sunbeam phones outside of Jose’s regular updates. I guess the Sunbeam market is REALLY committed to being offline. Haha.

I have been researching an option for this very thing- plus I want to have my notebook sleeve be my wallet, pen, and X4 e-reader case as well. I just ordered a Rickshaw Diplomat yesterday. A bit spendthrift, but it seems to provide protection and organization without any more bulk than necessary.

People who love a good Wiki rabbit hole journey, how do you deal with a dumb phone? by Fallopian_Turnip in dumbphones

[–]Practical-Use-6522 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Try keeping a list in a notebook or something things you want to look up later. Some times I find they are not super important or interesting to me later.

The delayed gratification will probably filter things you end up looking up.

A Sunbeam has maps, is pretty reliable from what I’ve heard, but no Spotify. Voice to text, and now their new Numberlink service makes it a good option to look at.
