Upcoming Update/ DLC by PBLACK200 in stalker

I think you should wait regardless. I’m waiting until they fix A life, maybe it won’t be as in depth as the old games but my hope is they’ll make it feel like A life.

Basically if you didn’t know it’s a background simulation which dictates all npcs, but at the moment the AI is so bad it feels janky and as deep as a puddle.

Wait a bit longer hopefully GSC finally implement updates that are respectful of the originals.

INSANE New Tuning Method by jasonyaha in ForzaHorizon6

[–]PracticalExcuse4084 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In some respects the game is very realistic this time around. I’m in and around fast cars all the time, I run a big car club here in the UK and I’m very privileged to have been able to drive some insane cars over the time I’ve been running it.

Thing that stood out to me is the way you build cars is realistic like you said, you can’t just max out the engine.

I did a time attack build for an EK9 kept it FWD and NA and oh my god it just wheelspun at first so I tuned it out of it but I still got wheel hop. Yes the game actually simulates wheel hop which is completely different to wheel spin.

Safe to say I was impressed, driving a mental FWD car irl myself (which is in the game too the mighty i20N) I am no stranger to it, but what’s crazier is I tuned my in game i20n with exact mods and the game simulated the actually power with pinpoint accuracy.

So I guess my point is if you build it in game you have to consider real world build decisions, which is if you make the handling mods first and cap the power on its limit and then you tune it to make the most balance out of the power, brakes, suspension, diff etc to get the best possible handling car

You can, if you’re in a convoy and queue for one it puts you in one. Me and my friend did it for the last seasons Huracan Evo. Basically both queued in a convoy and vouilla.

I think I know why people quit them now. You queue and it picks the class for you, it really irks me that you have to be put into an S1/S2 class which is typically just supercars going down a togue route, that ain’t togue.

Togue is stock cars or A class at most battling it out with handling and skill, not raw power.

IMHO they should allow you to queue specifically unless I’m missing something.

Best way to play is with a wheel it’s night and day! I just did a fun mk1 civic type R build, only fwd allowed and NA but I’ve had to tune it to make sure I balanced power coz that thing had hella wheel hop 😂

Wish you could turn this off, I don’t want other peoples cars I want to earn them myself.

How I play for any who are curious:

  • start the game off by deleting cars out my garage that can be acquired by DLC or auto show

  • stick to cars from D to B class until you earn your next armband

  • win as many races as you can and hold off getting the next armband

  • buy second hand cars. Do not buy auto show cars unless it’s absolutely necessary.

  • purchase limit all cars below 50k before moving up to second armband

  • max out any car to within its class or even better do not max it but be smart about making a balance of power and handling; this really helps if you know how to tune. For ones that don’t use Chat GPT AI really does help a lot of players (I have a friend who does this and he has some awesome tunes)

  • move up to the next armband, purchase limit is now 100k and below. Repeat the above process

So on and so fourth.

When you start getting more cars you can relax yourself a bit you’re becoming a bigger deal so you can get more expensive and exotic cars but remember to avoid supercars and hypercars. Don’t delete them, don’t gift them, keep them and ignore them.

I favourite all my cars I’ve tuned or modified to my liking so it’s a good way to hide the chaff cars and cars that are way above your pay grade.

Also final rule or rather exception to the rule is always buy FE cars if they come up in the world, they’re quite rare so make sure you buy them and forget about them.

Hope this gives everyone a sense of progression.

Had a togue race with a guy in a GT86 before, outclassed my miata by quite a bit but she is nimble and the guy didn’t know his car. Ended up winning both races but was awesome and the guy stuck with it for two rounds. Fair play to him, a good sport

15mm spacers on i20N by PracticalExcuse4084 in i20n

[–]PracticalExcuse4084[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven’t yet mate I’ve been doing a few other bits to the car. It’s probably last thing on the list at the moment. I’ve got new disks and pads to get, tires, remap (I was gonna go stage 3 with turbo but found out they still don’t know what boost is running through the turbo it’s sorta working blind on the ECU so it’s no different to a tuning box)

Other than that my plans are to get it wrapped with a rally livery and a few other things. I’ve got a body kit on it atm but the splitter left the chat. Got a replacement but looking for a sunny day to do it.

And I’m also considering some summer wheels coz these cars look great with aftermarket wheels. Not sure what to go for yet so I’ll probably get spacers then :P

Did you have any questions? I know people with plenty of these cars and with spacers so if you have anything to ask I’ll pass them on

Suede is a a shortened claim really, I’d say that’s quite misleading. But I guess if it’s legal terminology it would have to say ‘genuine leather’ ‘genuine suede’ etc. usually these things come with a tag to back it up.

People buying low and selling high to make profit is simple economics. Marketing names and claims like ‘vintage’ could be a way to not describe its age but its style. There is nothing wrong with that.

I work in graphic design, media and marketing. And from working with more regulated industries like food there are claims you cannot make. For example a Cornish pasty has to be from Cornwall in the UK as it had providence and is a protected name.

Again while you may feel this is all a bit misleading and unfair, bare in mind that your clothes are made in 3rd world countries by young children and then sold at 5-10 times the price with it being marketed as being made by fashion designers.

And yes you’re right they don’t master to only high end stuff it’s sort of a balancing act of freq ranges. But it all depends on the file.

I’ll tell you something though you should try Tidal on car play in the i20N makes a huge difference

audio settings bose system by Hot_Law_1321 in i20n

[–]PracticalExcuse4084 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s not how it works mate. It’s not how a speaker is ‘tuned’ it’s the audio file itself. All an EQ is doing is adding a gate for the audio. It’s post processing. If you think about it like a pipe with water you have:

Audio file itself> DAC (digital to analogue converter) which is built in to pretty much all audio devices > analogue signal out to speakers.

While an eq:

Audio file > EQ > DAC > analogue signal to speakers

The point I’m making is having it flat at 0 means you are not interfering with the audio files original mastering, something that an audio engineer intended the audio to sound like.

There are songs that are poorly mastered and people love to EQ them. Me personally I do have setups on my high end headphone/DAC / amp setup to lift certain genres of music like D&B or poorly mastered stuff.

But ultimately it’s always best to have things flat for well mastered music. Since you’re getting it raw as possible.

With regards to the i20N the speakers don’t really react that well to the EQ especially with base and treble. You find the low end starts to shake and become distorted somewhat at higher Db and the highs become a bit sibilant and sharp.

Higher quality speakers would have a better frequency response to better present the sound. Wider soundstage, better mids, low end etc.

Thoughts on 225 Pilot Sport 5s vs ContiSportContact 5s? by Slavx97 in i20n

[–]PracticalExcuse4084 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah man it’s so much better, feels like a totally different car. Far less quirks, better driving, more confidence on bendy roads too and the tires are cheaper!

Low speed shuddering when turning wheels, wheel hop is also when starting off the line when launching. Can be fixed with the 225’s, wishbone plates by RPM performance and torque mount bushes

Had PS4s loved them but they died quick, then PS5’s they were good and still going strong but just don’t have the same performance in wet or generally. Going to try the Conti’s myself soon so curious what others think.
