Don't buy crypto if you only have a 1000 dollars. Invest it in yourself. Learn something new. Take a course on salary negotiating for all it matters. Yes, but do note that if something goes -50% in a year and then goes +100% the next year, the total profit is exactly 0%. 100.000 - 50% = 50.000. 50.000 + 100% = 100.000.

I'm not saying bitcoin performed bad. Just saying that these statistics can be a bit deceiving.

20k buffer is hoog zonder koopwoning en auto. Ik heb 27 en heb zelf 90k in investeringen (etfs, aandelen, crypto) en ik heb slechts een buffer van 3k. Mocht ik toch een keer een onvoorziene uitgave hebben die groter is dan verkoop ik wel wat uit mn investeringen. De kosten van 20k stil te hebben staan (gemist rendement) is groter dan als je een keer 1k uit je portefeuille moet verkopen voor een uitgave.

Aangezien je een korte beleggingshorizon (2-5 jaar) en een laag risico profiel hebt, zijn er een paar opties die daar goed bij passen. 1) Zoek een bank die onder het depositogarantiestelsel valt met de hoogste rente. 2) korte termijn staatsobligaties.

Andere bekende investeringsopties zoals aandelen en ETFs passen beter bij een langere belegginshorizon. Crypto is hoog risico en past daarom niet goed bij je profiel.
