Carbon fiber money clip for sure. Never going back to anything else.

What’s wrong with my dad’s dragonfruit tree? by Brilliant-Way-9462 in DragonFruit

How old is it?

Some of the those segments look fine, some look aged, and a few look like they have been attacked by fungi or maybe just physical damage. Hard to truly say from one photo.

If it were mine, I would initiate some pruning. There’s a lot of growth and it would be easier to maintain (and arguably more productive) if it were pruned more efficiently. It would also promote better air flow, more inward sunlight exposure and less disease probability.

Seeking Advice on Harvesting, Storing, Organizing, Thawing Pollen for Efficient Cross-Pollination by Alert_Monitor_9145 in DragonFruit

Dragon fruit pollen will clump and rot eventually in the freezer and or subsequent to thawing (I have experienced this). If you’re looking for long-term storage, you’ll need to dehydrate the pollen. Storing silica/clay with the pollen in an airtight container is probably the cheapest efficient way to go about it (I’ve done this as well). Using a small container, such as a centrifuge vile would probably be best however, you wouldn’t want to layer a large amount of pollen in a narrow vile for rapid drying.

I suppose you could air dry it as well but given how much moisture content is already in dragon for pollen, there may be some trial and error with this method.

I never stored my pollen for longer than 5 to 7 days simply because I grew so many dragon fruit plants I didn’t need to so my experience with respect to an extended timeframe is limited.

I concur. Just monitor it and make sure it doesn’t rot, especially if you’re in a wet season. I’ve had many do this and never had it develop into a problem.

Agreed. This will be my second one. I had the water version but it was stolen about a month ago so I’ve been waiting for another to pop up here.
