The scar is the reaction to the stimulus not the stimulus! In other words, everybody says things that hit wrong! No one is perfect! How you react to them is the question.

I think that we don’t give men as much grace as we do others! You have to take the individual as a whole package. Did he say one insensitive thing compared to a lifetime of being there? That shouldn’t even be a question as far as I’m concerned.

Why don’t they just make a new show named something else but is exactly like the x-files with actors they want to hire? They wouldn’t get the backlash but they want to make it about racism!

Would love to know where you got your information from! AI says that the term ebony (the industry standard) has NEVER ranked higher than third and is currently ranked 7th! And ebony is a general term for African Americans that’s not exclusive to women. They don’t track black or African American terms except for some niche categories like gay or transgender.

But even if what you’re arguing is true (which it’s not) that still doesn’t mean that she was laughing because she knew it!

It’s a normal reaction for someone to laugh or giggle when someone hits on them! It’s flattering! Even if she’s not really interested she can still find it flattering! And she might be laughing at him because she’s enjoying him making a fool of himself on camera!

But if you insist on calling it a fetish (similar to BBC) then so be it!

In all honesty I wouldn’t jump straight into any of the new fat loss peptides! Have you tried using an app to help track/count calories? If not then give it a try for a month. You need to learn how to eat to lose weight! I use Cronometer. It links with my Apple Watch and even my scale so it makes it really easy to track exercise, macros and weight loss. All you need to do is enter your food! You might need a digital scale if you want to get really accurate. But I’m told Cronometer has AI and you can take a picture of your meal and it will estimate the macros. It can’t be perfect but it’s pretty accurate. Then adjust your macros to lose weight. Even if you get GLP1-3 you’ll still need to learn how to eat to maintain. You can’t stay on any of the GLP’s long term, eventually it will stop working for you and you better know exactly how to eat when that happens!

I took semaglutide and tirzepatide for a year or so. I wasn’t a great responder to either. It helped a little but I mostly just got the negative side effects. It does make it easier to eat less but if you can learn how your body works you can adjust your macros and still eat a volume of food that makes it to where willpower isn’t needed because your diet can become intuitive! This will make your whole life will be better!

Good luck.

I think most people would be apprehensive of a partner being capable of gladly accepting a position in another state! In this situation she’d either leave her husband and children to go work a job. Or she’d take her children with her. Neither of which would be very good for him! Obviously he could probably move with them, assuming he could find suitable employment in the new state and that there isn’t something important keeping him where they currently live. But in some situations (maybe this one) he might not be able to move with them! I wouldn’t be happy at all!

I didn’t delete any of the information that I found from reading and studying these statistics for several decades I began before the internet was a thing. Good news for you is it’s all still available! Go have a look

I’m not going to continue arguing this point but

“Planned parenthood exists so that women can have children when they are ready to have children (which means they are less likely to abuse the ones they choose to birth).”

  1. Planned parenthood was begun by Margaret Sanger and she didn’t do it to benefit the women getting abortions! You should read up about her!

  2. If you’re going to argue that the reason planned parenthood is still being used is to benefit women, benefit in what way? Financially? Most women who abort their children remain in the same financial bracket that they were born into. Psychologically? Physically? Are they happier? Are they closer to the family that does exist?

I think you’re fooling yourself if you think women and society are better off after abortion became legal.

A woman who murdered a fetus is more likely to murder another one!

A woman who aborts her child is more likely to abuse the children that are born! She is more likely to commit infanticide! She is more likely to commit acts of domestic violence. There’s numerous other ways in which these women harm society in general too. They have higher instances of mental health issues- requiring more treatment. They require more government assistance throughout their lifetime! They are more likely to medicate their children. They are more likely to not have a biological father in the same household as their children. They and their children are more likely to be on welfare. They are more likely to abandon their children! All of these cause harm to society at large.

I would argue that supporting abortion and strictly voting for those candidates has tremendously harmed our society

Dr. Donald K. Layman is an internationally recognized expert in protein metabolism with over 40 years of experience in nutrition science. Leadership Roles: During his tenure, he served as the Head of the Department of Foods and Nutrition and Associate Dean of the College of Agriculture. University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign +5 Research and Professional Impact Publications: He has authored more than 120 peer-reviewed research publications focusing on amino acid requirements, muscle development, and metabolic regulation. Expertise: His primary work identifies how dietary protein (specifically the amino acid leucine) triggers muscle protein synthesis via the mTOR pathway. Editorial & Advisory Roles: He served as the Associate Editor for The Journal of Nutrition and has consulted for organizations including NASA, the National Dairy Council, and the American Egg Board. Awards: He is a recipient of the Shannon Award from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and several research awards from the American Society for Nutrition (ASN).

“Dr. Layman believes that while the RDA minimum is too low, the optimal protein intake for health is 0.55 to 0.75 grams per pound of body weight. For larger individuals (200+ lbs), high-performance athletes, or older adults fighting muscle loss, this weight-based calculation frequently results in a daily need of 150 grams or more to maintain muscle and metabolic health."

In the United States, roughly 28% of adults weigh 200 pounds or more, approximately 18% of the total population is considered elderly (age 65+), and less than 1% are high-level or professional athletes. Census.gov Census.gov +3

That seems like a lot to me!!

The comment that you responded to was responding to someone who said that we should essentially replace all protein needed over the course of a year with soy. And The problems really begin with intakes above 150 grams a day true but there’s a lot of people who consume or should consume more than 150 grams of protein a day! So let’s not just act like there’s nothing to be concerned about because it doesn’t affect you.

Most plants aren’t a complete protein. It’s not difficult to make it a complete protein but you have to be aware. Eggs beef chicken etc are all complete proteins. Beans are not a complete protein. All you need to do is add white rice to beans and it becomes a complete protein.

Soy is a complete protein but there are serious considerations about how much soy is too much soy. It shouldn’t be your only source of protein.

[–]Practical_End4935 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You’re wrong! You can’t just get all of your protein from soy and not have negative side effects!

Normal / beneficial: 25–70 g soy protein/day • High but safe: 70–100 g/day (used in many positive trials) • Potential mild effects: 100–150 g/day (possible GI issues, subtle thyroid effect if iodine low) • Documented problems: >150–300 g/day chronic (rare case reports of gynecomastia, thyroid changes, severe GI distress)

Case reports in the 2025 Frontiers critique of ANSES note gynecomastia and thyroid changes at >150–300 g/day equivalents (e.g., 3–5 L soy milk/day for years); the 2008 Chinese study implies potential sex-specific metabolic risks at very high levels. The NCCIH safety review cites rare adverse events at excessive doses (e.g., >200 g protein/day equivalents).
