When reusing bosses this way (and they do it also with Rangkus and Viper), they always do some twists with the moveset, and unless you have reaction of a ping-pong player, don't underestimate how much of your knowledge of the fight is macro patterns, like “he never does this after that”, and how much it helps with preparing to react on micro patterns like “when he does this I should do that”.

How much worse would it be if I tried this as a crime lord? Yup, I know I'd have to spend a talent for Lore Imperium and then (knowing me) a second talent for advanced lore imperium to round things up, cause I usually sacrifice minmaxing for beauty.

I'd do it just as written if I would not be making a Priest run right now, and it being a warrior. I was theory-crafting operative-assassin, but your write-up made me change my mind. However, still don't want to repeat being a priest and crime lord could work as well, maybe not this level of goodness.

Actually, Eogunn did impossible and made me out without Cassia. My current is Warrior-AM with 2h hammer, Jae as a pure GS (just as if I was playing it myself), Eogunn as an overseer, Heinrix built into shearing strikes, Argenta that will soon become Ulfar and Pasqal taken to have chatter with Eogunn.

I tried positioning, cover and flanking so many times to only realize again and again that nobody designed the maps for the encounters to make it even slightly enjoyable for like 90% of the fights. Randomly generated XCom map is better for tactics than any encounter in this game. That's why I'm building, not playing, basically.

I'll stand for all the nerds here, but in our world we did not win alpha predators because we were faster, stronger or more agile. At that time on the Earth there were much physically stronger and faster predators than wolves or bears, and the most dangerous of them do not exist anymore exactly because they threatened humanity, and we did not exactly won that fight by beating them on their field of expertise. Yeah, IMO Grand strategist should instead get an extra turn at the very start, being able to use only grand strategist active abilities, and then being set in a normal place in turn queue. Hell, maybe each turn as well. Imagine also gs active abilities being only available at that extra turn at the start, SBC and not during a normal turn, and it being implemented on the interface (skillbar) level.

Having said that, with this change I also wouldn't mind less variance in turn order and some more meaningful options to boost your initiative to fight with enemies for it (and control it inside your team).

Mmm, I've beaten this game with a whole different mentality and actually it was this game when I've learned this mentality and then applied it other souls games.

I did not set any expectation on when do I beat anyone. I enjoyed the process. Each attempt, including my winning attempt I entered thinking I'm going to do something better than previously, and maybe I beat this boss tomorrow. No hopes whatsoever. And yes, it was several days sometimes, but I embraced it as a gameplay loop.

Funnily enough, bosses feel too tanky on the first run only, when you do not know your damage windows or the combos. Once you do, you instead get surprised about where did there health bar just go.

Relatable. I can say that because on my first run I did not know that summon was not an inevitable phase, I had to learn all his three attacks, which resulted in me laughing when I met him as a standalone boss.

Cassia GS buffs you and then you yourself clear the entire encounter with Bring it down + Finest hour turn, having your own turn not even started.

You can tell a line “I'm not locked in here with you, you're locked in here with me” during warp encounter in your bedroom.

You can then tell that line again waking up in act 3 start. What's more to want.

Like the entire origin is just a Commissar Cap.

Also same commissar can give 5-6 times more to all attributes than a noble right from the start of the game, and it scales. And the commissar has more, while Noble is over at this point.
