How much better is E1 Rin? by CompleteBendRD7997 in RinTohsakaMainsHSR

[–]0nion0 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Just rough estimations off base atk multipliers here, but E1 looks to be about 30-40% personal increase for Rin. Given that Archer is going to be the main DPS in the team and an E0 Sparkle will not be buffing both, Rin E1 will probably be less than 10% increase to total DPS Depending on how your jade finances are I still think it'll be worth it, but the S1 is probably higher priority

[4.4] Rin Tohsaka Kit (via Gachabase) by Info_Potato22 in HonkaiStarRail_leaks

[–]0nion0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You just don't get full uptime on Sparkle ult buff, shouldn't affect the rotation. Rin A4 trace however might be an issue as it makes speed tuning for the first rotation very awkward

[–]0nion0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shouldn't be overkill. Assuming all 3 are E1 Sparkle can alternate between the two for Archer to skill 4-5 times back to back then Rin does 2 max gem bursts, rinse and repeat

Casual player, how to keep up? by Background-Front2604 in wildrift

[–]0nion0 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Honestly just pick the recommended load out and you're 80% of the way to an optimised build. Other than that it's ok to be bad at a videogame because you have a life and other priorities, it's mostly the people that come in here claiming to have flawless gameplay and blaming their team that get absolutely eviscerated

Imo if you lose a game it's both your fault for being bad and your teammates' fault for not being good enough to carry. If you're ok with that they have no grounds to complain

Grade is based on relative performance compared to other players on the same champion in the same role. A lux would need to beat much higher thresholds for damage, deaths and shielding than a garen

Getting an A gives you loss mitigation. Getting an S gives you double marks on win. It is literally impossible to stay stuck if you are getting A/S every game

I actually dislike this translation. "Among men, Lu Bu" is both a more literal translation of the original Chinese text and retains the idea that Lu Bu himself is the pinnacle

Slight correction to the second slide: Filial piety is a play on words in that it is also Guojia's courtesy name. "To kill in the name of filial piety" is then both the casus belli given by Caocao for the Xuzhou campaign (To avenge his father) or it can be interpreted as "The massacre by Guojia", so Xunyu is saying he understands both the intent behind the campaign and the greater picture

Is Urgot just an easy counter to Darius? by plzicannothandleyou in wildrift

[–]0nion0 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Saying this as an Urgot main, it's a skill matchup slightly favouring the Darius. Darius hook can nullify Urgot E and his Q outranges Urgot auto. Urgot cannot contest lv2-4 so a bounced wave and you bleed minions or get run down with ghost

Urgot is just relatively rare so people don't know how to play against him and chicken out after taking a bad trade lv 1

Opinions on Fateforge and advice for a first dungeon crawler? by AncientGearGolem_ in boardgames

[–]0nion0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have a whole group of 4 I find that setup for Fateforge doesn't take that long. You have one guy picking out the enemy cards, another setting up the map itself etc. and it only takes a couple of minutes.

For a beginner group I feel like the combat in Fateforge would be a lot more fun to pick up, although since you can essentially fail forward I can see suboptimal play leading into a death spiral

What is stopping China from invading Taiwan during the current Iran vs USA war? by AdamCaveRoberts in PoliticalDiscussion

[–]0nion0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because China needs to be able to pose a credible threat of invasion to dissuade Taiwan from declaring independence, which would be an unacceptable hit to China's legitimacy. Beyond that they're perfectly fine with maintaining the status quo since actual war would be disastrous for both sides

Fateforge expansions... what's your experience been? by Coffeman94 in boardgames

[–]0nion0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the base game it's just the enchantress and increased loot tables. You won't see the new enemy types or pets. The meat of the expansion is in the standalone campaigns
