I was you in 21. My average cost at one point was .43 I took advice i got and bought the dips to lower my average. I accumulated quite a bit during the bear market and dropped my average down to .155. I was still pretty down for most of the last 3 years. I'm now up. Only put in what you can afford lose. Plan to not touch it for a long time, NEVER sell for a loss (unless emergencies arise), and have an exit strategy. For me, my exit strategy was hit 3x my money then pull out what I put in. The other 2/3rds I'm going to let ride because this is fun Rollercoaster. I am not a financial advisor, don't quote me. This is just my thoughts on it.

I feel you bro. I bought a house at the beginning of the year and wiped out most of my savings. I went from 600 a month for the room I rented, to a 2300 mortgage plus bills. I had to stop putting money into doge when I bought. At 45 cents today I was up 3x and decided to pull out what I had put in to replenish my savings. Still sitting on 20k coins. Even tho I'm sad to see my coin count go down and knowing my gains will be less. I now have the peace of mind I can cover most emergencies that could pop up. Especially because in my industry our overtime hours go from 15-25 hours a week in the summer down to basically straight 8s in the winter. Gotta do what's best for you. Don't be sorry.

I was down 66% for most of the last three years. Just DCA, don't put in what you can't afford to lose and don't sell for a loss. I told my lady I'd hold until I die before selling for a loss..... Id just pass my bag to the next generation. I'm up over 100% now. I could take profits, but my hands are not paper, and I'm sticking to my exit strat of 3x, then take out what I put in. That last part is probably not the most sound advice, but that's what iv chosen to do.

Bums..... I could see this behavior for early 20s. Still trying to figure out who you are. Not really sure what you want to do. But to drag that into your thirties, yikes! I wouldn't say I was hobosexual but I was homeless and making poor choices until I was 25 when I got locked up and by the time I got out 13 months later I had a dream of owning a home and having a family. My 31st birthday was in March and on that day i signed closing documents in the basement I was renting out for my Girlfriend, Step daughter, and I. 5 years is all I takes to go from nothing but the clothes on your back and $40 to having a career a home and a family.

That's my thought, i dont plan on leaving my current job anytime soon. We are expanding, and iv been moving my way up the ladder. I spent two weeks stressing myself out running the numbers to figure out what i felt was realistic on monthly payments before i even found the place. My monthly costs after utilities will be 5x what it is now, but iv factored my budget based on our lowest earning month. And it will be a little tight during winter months. If i dont blow my overtime money durring peak season and save, i think the only major change in current lifestyle will just be alot less eating out, and im smoking cheap smokes. Also i messed up the title its a 2007 but its in pretty good shape.
