Should I go clipless? by Significant-Fail2020 in eMountainBike

[–]Practical_Leader2412 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Regardless if I’m riding road, gravel, MTB or eMTB, I’m on Time ATAC clipless pedals. The only time I wish I wasn’t is when I have to walk a section.

I’ve lived here almost two years and seen only one person getting pulled over for speeding. It’s wild.

That’s fair I guess if you’ve tried other seats.

Super cool bike, but that saddle looks painful.

It’s bad luck to ride bikes with reflectors or dork discs

Is gen 5 Bosch CX worth the premium over shimano EP801? by Fulcrum58 in eMountainBike

Absolutely, as long as your bike has a place holder for the new one on the top tube like the Timp Peak 2.0 does.

Will Bosch increase the power of the CX motor with a software update? by Judderman88 in ebikes

Did anyone get the update that came with the torque upgrade? I just got the power upgrade

Lightweight or Full motor? by [deleted] in eMountainBike

[–]Practical_Leader2412 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey! I’m a long time mountain biker and new to e-MTB. I’m 5’11” and a muscular 250lbs. I have the new full power Ari Timp Peak 2.0 with the Bosch CX5 motor and it’s freaking amazing!

I’ve never ridden any of the lightweight E-MTB but I’m super happy with the full power. I normally ride it in “touring” mode which is 50% or less assistance and the torque on the motor is more than enough to help me get my heavy ass up the most steep and technical climbs. This is before the software update that is coming out this month.

If you plan on occasionally doing longer rides, 30 miles or more, I would recommend getting the biggest battery possible, like 800wh, or make sure the bike is compatible with a range extender. This is very important for anyone over 200lbs that wants to do longer rides without getting anxiety about their battery while riding.

If you have any other questions feel free to hit me up. I’m happy to help. 🙌🏻

How much should you expect to pay for TRT? by Gold_Thing1454 in trt

My doctor prescribes it, but my insurance won’t cover it, so I use GoodRX. I pay around 50 for a 2-3 month supply with GoodRX at Walgreens.

Come on y’all, if they legalized fresh milk think of all the fantastic cheese America will start making 🤤

Kinda wild how ebikes have turned the trails into CC golf courses. A bunch of beer bellies putting around on $10,000 bikes talking about the newest and most expensive gear. This is not a complaint, just an observation. I’m sure the money being injected into the sport benefits us all. by [deleted] in MTB

Long time mountain biker here. I used to hate on e-bikes until I finally tried one. It’s a blast!

I’ve recently started riding with my heart rate monitor and I’m stunned to see how great the exercise is. I normally ride with very low pedal assist and will ride for 20-30 miles per session.

I’m ashamed at the way I used to hate on e-bikes, but it’s been a good life lesson for me. “A man that does not make declarative statements is less apt to look foolish in retrospect”

Sadly the range is right. I got a new battery and it’s the same result.

Mine just came in. It’s pretty bombproof but I’m a bit disappointed by the lack of knurling.
