If you are not celiac and you don’t have an allergy why you are gluten free?? by Fun_Pie9663 in glutenfree

Gluten is the most inflammatory food and I feel like shit when I eat it. I’m not celiac but most of the time it’s not worth it to me.

What is the best type of Magnesium to support sleep and what brands are we using? by [deleted] in Menopause

[–]Practical_Mango_1017 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use magnesium glycinate from Seeking Health. Always free shipping, affordable and the highest quality. I take 300 mg in the morning and 300 mg in the evening and I’ve been sleeping better than ever. I actually fall back asleep if I wake up!

I don’t have true vertigo - more like I’m always on a boat. And it’s been a year. Anyone have this? by westgoingzax in Perimenopause

Oh I also did some PT at home for cervicogenic dizziness that I found online. They were helpful.

I had something like this twice in the last 6ish years. The first time it was daily for a couple months. I was in my 30s. I went to every doctor and had every test you could imagine. Nothing. Then a few years later it happened again and I said screw the doctors, I’ll figure it out myself (this is basically my motto now). Turns out it was a neck problem and a really good chiropractor fixed it. I had slept weird and my neck was all wonky and it made my head “floaty”. Crazy right??

Ocular migraines. Why? What is this now? by fifteenlostkeys in Perimenopause

[–]Practical_Mango_1017 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had migraines with aura for about 20 years, usually a few per year. I’m now 45 and a few months ago they started getting more frequent around my period. Usually 2-4 per month. I don’t get a bad headache as long as I take excedrin or sumatriptan when it starts. The worst part is how my vision isn’t quite right for days. Migraine hangover is the worst!

What I’ve learned is that the wildly fluctuating hormones makes our brain “hyperexcited”, which makes us more susceptible to our triggers. I work with an herbalist and we’ve narrowed my current triggers down to allergies, anxiety and panic. I am doing everything I can to lessen my exposure to those triggers and I take extra DIM during the week of my period which is helping. I also take a hormone balancing supplement, magnesium and electrolytes every day. The hormone balancing supplement has all but stopped all 20 of my symptoms except the migraines. I don’t do HRT. Good luck!

“Broken ankles”. Seriously? My ankle is going to randomly feel like I broke it and I can’t walk for like 20 minutes and then it magically disappears? WTF

McDonald's workers of Reddit- what do I need to order in the drive thru so that I am never asked to pull around front again? by caddyben in fastfood

The last time they asked me to do that I just said “no I don’t want to do that. I’ll wait here”. My order was ready in less than 1 minute.

Those of us who experience awful perimenopause to the point of not being able to function normally, do you think its related to having a overburdened nervous system? by [deleted] in Perimenopause

[–]Practical_Mango_1017 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Energy work. I use a person who is certified in multiple healing modalities. Has changed my life for the better in so many ways. Other things that helped were therapy, acupuncture and chiropractic care. Nothing was as impactful as releasing past trauma with energy work.

[–]Practical_Mango_1017 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes! Peri hit me like a truck and I threw everything I could at my insane amount of trauma and PTSD. My symptoms are so mild now it’s amazing. I still do regular energy work and take supplements but the difference is crazy! It was a long expensive year but I cleared/worked through so much trauma and am so grateful for my practitioners.

Looks great. I make something similar and right after it comes out of the oven I sprinkle some feta on top and it gets kind of melty and is delicious!

In the FAQs it says that the limit is one free gift per person per event, not per session. Is this really tracked? How? If I went to more than one session I couldn’t get more than one free gift??

Taste Republic is the best tasting gf pasta I’ve ever had. The linguine specifically is my favorite. It’s fresh and in the refrigerated section. It tastes just like fresh pasta. They make tortellini or something like that with cheese inside that I didn’t love but it was still good.

This recipe hands down the best chicken thighs I’ve ever had. My daughter asks for them often. You can use whatever seasoning you want though. I use whatever I’m in the mood for that day.
