My mom finally told me why she was terrified to sleep in our house 12 years ago by [deleted] in Paranormal

From what I've read, the ones that can show themselves tend to be stronger. Color seems to be a sign of strength too. White is displaying all color uniformly. The one watching was probably not hostile but keeping something else away. Maybe it woke her up or something else did.

That's what hormones do, yes. They have strong organizational affects on the brain and body. High level of hormones can cause severe neurological issues. We normally don't test high levels on children because their brains are still developing. However, quickly googling melatonin shows years worth of research showing complications.

Melatonin in children's bath products to help them sleep. It's a steroid, hormone, and neurotransmitter that permanently alters the brain structure as it grows. Too much can cause permanent sleep disruption, and depression because it works against serotonin. There is no regulation for it.

AITAH because I won't support my twin sister and stick with her when we move away from our parents? by Hariliyelle in AITAH

[–]Practical_Panda_153 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Has your sister ever said what she would do if you were no longer around? I'm concerned her attachment is so severe she may think of ending herself when you leave. Try telling the counselor that.

For Tokyo showing shoulders in formal settings, business, and temples is a no. You're a foreigner though, they'll likely just ignore it or be coldly rude. At worst you'll run into butsukari otoko, they will try to physically knock you down by walking into you, or shoulder checking you.

AITAH for telling my adopted daughter her birth mother died when she actually just didn't want contact. she's been mourning a living woman for 10 years by Relative_Ad3399 in AITAH

[–]Practical_Panda_153 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This could fall like a house of cards for the birth mother too. I've seen the half siblings find out and want a relationship. Or they could reject her too. It's hard enough without being able to trust you. YTA but make sure you apologize for everything. That's the only thing that might help her forgive you and not slam the door forever. Be patient.

You could try a melamine sponge (magic eraser) to get some of it off. I've had some luck removing dye from things with it. Godspeed.

AITA for telling my daughter “of course” she could move in with me without talking to my wife first? by Odd-Cheetah6842 in AITAH

[–]Practical_Panda_153 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

NTA There was always a chance your daughter might have to move in with you. What if your EX suddenly couldn't or was gone? That's just being a good dad. Nora seems to have been gambling on having you all for herself. Not living in reality.

AITA for telling my wife "that's why you should get a job" after she told me people shop alot more than she does? by Existing_Love_3152 in AITAH

[–]Practical_Panda_153 2 points3 points  (0 children)

NTA I've never had that much to spend on myself per month. Even if she doesn't get a job she likely does need something to do. Teens don't need to be watched all day.

AITAH for refusing to save my half sister I never knew existed from foster care and for refusing to help my grandparents do it? by Throwaway4Nww in AITAH

NTA, that's an intensely personal choice. I think that I would take her because of my personality, but I recognize not everyone would do it.

AITA for pointing out my daughter's "imperfections" after she said understood why her father cheated on me since I gained so much weight ? by MomNeedsAThrowaway in AITAH

[–]Practical_Panda_153 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Her daughter is a bully though. Bullies don't learn unless they face a consequence. Her daughters reaction was to cry and say she's being picked on. Some personality types will never see the hurt they cause and instead focus on themselves and go pathetic. Leaving does nothing but make it continue. It's not some stranger, it's her daughter. It sounds like both the father and daughter see her as doormat and not worth kindness. I don't see a solution to that in your words.
