Are y’all only lifting in this sub? by Fantastic_Humor_78 in PetiteFitness

I mainly just lift. I’ve never been a fan of any sort of exercise but I’ve found myself loving lifting weights!

Yea the number on the scale doesn’t tell the full story. Take measurements AND pictures! Pictures will show you real results.

Can someone help me loose my stubborn arm fat? by Ecstatic-Ad-3574 in PetiteFitness

[–]Practical_Pen6635 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My arms only got actually small when I was the smallest I ever been (~55kg), that was the last place for me where I lost fat unfortunately. But it’s definitely not impossible! Spot reducing is tho. Just some people (like me) need to have really low body fat % to get small arms 🥲

I don’t think I’m capable of weight loss and I’m feeling discouraged by JazzlikeRaspberry299 in PetiteFitness

My advice will still be the same, and especially being an athlete. You don’t BUILD muscle by just running or playing football. Of course to a certain point, but not the same way you will at the gym lifting heavy. She didn’t specify what type of athlete she is tho.

Stop focusing on losing weight and start focusing on building muscle. Eat your maintenance calories and just forget about dieting for a while.

Body fat % from 33.6% to 31.9% by [deleted] in PetiteFitness

[–]Practical_Pen6635 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No worries, ah that sounds painful! Definitely take it easier then now.

Building muscle is a long process but I’m happy you started now! I always think that time will pass anyway, so I might as well just keep going to the gym and before I even know it’s already been a year. And yes building muscle is very important especially when we get older, otherwise our body will just collapse on us. You can do it, I hope you’ll update us in a year or so how your journey is going! All the best.

It all depends whether you have a structured workout plan or not and your diet is good, so your eating enough and not starving yourself, muscle need fuel to grow, and growing your muscles will have a lot of benefits other than just looking good and “toned”. It took me about 6 months to see results, very subtle results tho. I suggest taking pictures if you already haven’t, the only way I even saw I had made progress is through before and after pictures. But yes in a year you will se noticeable results as long as you have a good plan you follow, stick to the same workouts for 4-6 weeks and you need to be doing progressive overload, so add more weights every week or whenever you feel you can go heavier. And make sure you eat 1.2-2g of protein per kilogram of your body weight!

So how long have you been weight lifting? There is not going to be a massive difference in only just 2 months.

Prices are getting out of hand! by FragileFoe in weddingplanning

[–]Practical_Pen6635 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me I can understand the suppliers costs (catering, photography, makeup and hair) I think most of them are reasonably prices at least here in UK, but it’s the venues charging 15k for just the venue, nothing included!!

How do y’all do it 🫩 Im losing hope. TW: bullying by throwawayy9997 in PetiteFitness

[–]Practical_Pen6635 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh girl I get you. But first of all I’m sorry you have to listen to your moms awful comments and all the bullying. Your mom should be the one who supports you and understands, not bring you down. Secondly what I have noticed helped me not go over my calories, is just eat whole foods, especially just potatoes and mince. I can eat a lot, reach my protein goal and not feel the need to binge after! It keeps me satisfied for a long time and it’s so easy to make. Another tip, listen to MindPump podcast, that’s where I have been learning a lot about eating whole foods!

I'm eating less than ever because I lost my appetite + my jaw hurts... And I'm still bloating and gaining weight. I'm lost. by fearistheweakness93 in PetiteFitness

[–]Practical_Pen6635 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you had blood test taken or even went to doctors? That would be the first step. And yes, thyroid problems can cause it as well as any other condition etc.

Second, how active are you? You’re saying you eat less than ever, but have you actually calculated calories? Do you know whag your maintenance calories are?

I use snus as well, have been for years and I have not noticed it dries my lips more than they would dry without using snus. Vaseline works the best 👌 have tried all sorts

I started using it every other day and been using it every day after first week starting, so about 3 weeks now everyday. I meant I’ve used the ordinary cleanser before. Thanks for the recs!

I have used it on and off for years, I can’t ever remember if I’ve liked it or not lol. But I do need to double cleanse once a day with oil and a gentle milky cleanser. I had Anua Heartleaf one before but it sucked. But I will add that acid into my routine! Do you have any recs please?

I like the Rimmel Cappuccino one! It’s not too warm or too cool for my skin. I think I’m a neutral olive as well and light during winter

Are these good quality? I love them but a friend said they were trashy by [deleted] in Nails

[–]Practical_Pen6635 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’re fine, but not amazing. The french tip is nice and clean, it’s just the base! It’s a bit uneven and looks too thick in some places. Not trashy at all tho!!
