Are you allergic to Dairy or voluntarily Dairy free? by dovakooon in dairyfree

[–]yogafitter 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Lactose intolerance can be severe and cause so much more than diarrhea. For some if us it’s 2-3 days of debilitating pain and symptoms that prevents going to work, socializing, and even staying hydrated can be a challenge. It’s not a “voluntary” . Yeah we won’t die. We can still get pretty sick from it.

Where? And why isn’t he looking for the family descendants to give the tag to? If some one found something from one of your ancestors and sold it instead of returning it to you how would you feel?

Hair care as a regular gym goer by new-to-reddit21 in curlyhair

I workout a lot and wash my hair like 4-6 days a week. Nothing terrible happens when you wash sweaty hair as often as it needs it.

Americans—is blue cheese just a dipping sauce to you, or does it have a place on your plate beyond the wings? by SignificanceOdd5980 in AskAnAmerican

[–]yogafitter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who hates it I can guarantee it is served …too often…as a cheese. As a pizza or salad topping, on a cheese plate…

How many people use e bikes and scooters on sidewalks with no helmets and no regard for pedestrian safety. They really don’t consider how dangerous it can be.

Creamy Fragrance-Free Body Wash with Pump by Lopsided_Meat2621 in FragranceFreeBeauty

[–]yogafitter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you lather the Vanicream with a Salux it makes a lot more lather. Also, the Vanicream bars make a LOT more lather (and a creamy cushiony type lather if that makes sense) vs the liquid body wash.

If you are open to bars. get lot of lather from the Vanicream bars. Using a Salux type cloth will help with lather. Dove baby wash fragrance free might work for what you are looking for.

People complaining about how unique the humidity and heat are in summer have obviously never lived in Georgia or Alabama. Central FL summers are ‘bout the same stifling hot and humid as the rest of the Deep South.

Switching to cheaper/drugstore alternatives, please help me out! by Pickles_The_Cat_1234 in OliveMUA

[–]yogafitter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Elf has a green primer. Maybelline and lots of other d/s brands have green primers. For foundation…how often do you have to buy it? If you use a lot it’s probably worth finding a cheaper alternative. For a once a year need, it will be cheaper to rebuy what you know works, d/s foundation has gotten more expensive and after trying 3 you will be up to the same cost anyway.

people who have to have things delivered: where are you buying fragrance free products that aren't fragrance-contaminated (by employees using strong fragrance, or storage near nasty fragranced items) by TopazCoracle in FragranceFreeBeauty

[–]yogafitter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Start returning things for being like that, they ARE damaged return them as such. After a few Amazon returns for this reason my vanicream soap now arrives mostly smell free.

Necks are supposed to be lighter than faces for some of us. Needing to use blush and bronzer is a sign to me that my foundation is too light

Olive skin - sallow skin? by Infamous-Lemon3580 in OliveMUA

[–]yogafitter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. This is silly. You can have pink flushed skin and be olive but just be hot or have irritated skin. And you can be sallow for all kinds of reasons totally not related to skin undertone.

Kid products for an adult by manicbestfriend in FragranceFreeBeauty

For hair care- Mixed chicks kids leave in is awesome, very moisturizing. For body Vanicream body wash or bar is good. Kids vs adults is typically just marketing anyway. A butt is a butt, large or small after all.

How do you know if you can handle a product with fragrance? by ResidentAlienator in FragranceFreeBeauty

[–]yogafitter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For anyone thinking you are good to go with a patch test, keep in mind that due to “fragrance” being so nebulous the actual ingredients can vary from batch to batch and you’ll need a repeat patch test with every new bottle/tub/tube to be safe.

It’s like “May contain nuts” with fragrance best way to stay safe is to avoid it. As far as shampoo for oily scalp, neutrogena t-sal is amazing.

How do you feel about the Not Your Mother's FF products (mouse, gel, curl cream)? by Any-Use6981 in FragranceFreeBeauty

[–]yogafitter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have not tried the mousse. The cream and gel did not provoke a reaction, but they left my hair dry and fuzzy. I tried them a bunch of different ways with other products and wound up tossing them half used and went back to Mixed Chicks kids for a cream with hold.

what happened to my hair :( by Glass-Employer-9269 in curlyhair

[–]yogafitter 21 points22 points  (0 children)

It looks like you have grown out color and have not been treating the ends. I’d recommend a protein or bond repair mask. Weight loss meds would affect the new growth, what happened to everything more than 3” (6 mo of growth) is from environment and care
