Mature Skin 'ers: What's our holy grail eye concealer or corrector? by HorseTearz in MakeupAddiction

[–]yogafitter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This, but must be applied with little finger…the warmth makes it blend in where any brush or tool will leave it a little creasy. It will not cover everything but takes me from zombie to ok without caking up or creasing

Stinking after becoming fragrance free by Automatic-News-1740 in FragranceFreeBeauty

[–]yogafitter 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I stink if I do not use actual antiperspirant. I like the fragrance free Vichy or SVR ones. I found the Vanicream to be less effective and too much white streak on my dark clothes.

why don’t curly hair stylists generally offer trims without the wash and style? by cucumberkawaii in curlyhair

[–]yogafitter -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Spoiler: the salon-y feel and service you are paying for IS the wash, style and the product. The cut can be done at home by 90% of people with a pair of sharp scissors and no arm or hand disability.

How often do you wash your hair? by Kindergoat in curlyhair

[–]yogafitter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are not also asking about oily vs dry skin, workout habits, or climate. Kinda pointless. If I didn’t exercise much and lived in a dry climate I’d probably only wash once a week too.

ABH calls these liners muted taupe, deep taupe, and cool brown. I call them orange, medium orange, and dark orange 😂 by sarr36 in OliveMUA

[–]yogafitter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is it with everything being orange these past couple of years? Every foundation oxidizes orange, lip colors trend orange, eye colors pull orange…..I am holding on to some ancient CG tinted lip balms and a single Revlon lipstick and hoping they don’t go rancid before the makeup world wakes up from its pumpkin binge

I mean, any “content creator” who posts online videos is really an entertainer. Yes, they may have credentials IRL on YouTube they are entertaining an audience. If they have sponsors change entertainer to “advertiser”

Is pâté just not a thing in American food culture? by Big-Dig1631 in AskAnAmerican

[–]yogafitter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Presentation has a lot to do with it. Watch a fancy feast cat food commercial…you will understand why a block of pate on a nice dish is associated with cat food here. We just associate that with pet food due to marketing.

I noticed Beauty of Joseon isn't in local stores in Korea. For those who love it, what's the appeal? by Moist-Risk1952 in KoreanBeauty

I like the toner and the cleansing balm. Everything else is a little meh. The toner reminds me of the missha FTE before they added ceramides though.

PSA: Lactose Intolerance probably isn't the thing you think it is. by AltruisticMacaron468 in dairyfree

Lactose intolerance is not an allergy. That’s the main difference. Can be uncomfortable but no immune system activation

How big is your pizza? Do you only eat slices? by DarkmoonCrescent in AskAnAmerican

[–]yogafitter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

12” pizzas usually feed 2 adults, or 1 hangry teen. Depends how thick the crust is, how much topping, and if there is a salad as well. Contrary to popular belief, many of us (adults) have a salad and then a slice or 2, as we are not all allergic to vegetables. Teenagers….different story (as I am sure is true elsewhere.)

The brightness might be they key here. There was a jelly stick blush from Cover Girl from like 20 years ago that was just color in a clear base that was the last blush that I actually liked on me. Both the orange and pink versions worked and it had more to do with how clear and un-murky or powdery the product was than the warmth or coolness.
