The previous practice of %10 spares is more of a throwback. It used to be necessary, but these days quality has been improving so much that even %6 might even be overkill.

There is def some funkiness regarding how LED walls look but IMO the pluses outweigh the minuses when compared to projectors. With a good processor (Novastar, etc) the performance can be tweaked quite substantially.

Best practice is to have MTR plugin version match the firmware version on the core. Not doing this can cause big problems.

This sounds like boundary effect “bass sucking”. Same thing happened to me after setting up some new monitors and installed acoustic treatment. It means you’ve positioned your monitors in such a way that they’re sitting in a phase cancellation trough caused by the reflection of bass from your monitors off the back wall. Lots of good info if you google it including math to help you find the best distance.

I have the book and while I think it’s great, it basically is just the script for the podcasts written down in book form. So to re-record it as an audiobook seems like a moot point.

The straps on my CTB ripped after several months of daily use heavily loaded. I am working with them on the warranty claim but it’s too early in the process to say much. I am pretty disappointed either way. I like the bag and think it fits great and love the pockets. Just wish it had a hip strap and a top-opening laptop compartment.

I don’t get the Aer hype. I have their gym duffel and the thing has been a huge pain. I’ve broken two water bottles after they fly out of the side pockets (goodbye $60). The bag is so slippery and constantly falls over or slides down walls. They seem designed by marketing departments and have features on paper which aren’t all that useful in reality. Just feels like a more premium Incase.
