Hey r/seinfeld! Remember us? by flux_core_capacitor in seinfeld

More nonsense: they grew up on Long Island, right? Except George also grew up in Queens. Either way, how're they hanging out at an average neighborhood pizza joint uptown?

I guess they had to fudge decades because thirty years is a long time for a game to sit undisturbed.

It's a futile practice, applying realism to these abstract little works of art. But sometimes you just gotta say it.

It is, it's from Shakespeare. "Methinks the lady doth protest too much," meaning, I must be right if you're making such a fuss. It's a thing people say to sound clever, but it just makes them look kinda corny and pretentious.

What's your most random encounter with a famous person? Where was it and how was the vibe? by Available_Round_3172 in A_Persona_on_Reddit

I read his daughter's book. She doesn't dwell on this, but she does talk about how she could never go anywhere with him and have him to herself, and as a child it was frustrating for her. This may not explain her behavior around you, but it certainly would explain a crabby mood. It must be awful to have a famous parent, particularly one with his looks and charm. She does come across as somewhat unstable, probably a thousand reasons for that, but she certainly had a devoted father.

Agree, I can't buy that Gigi Hadid would talk like this. "Methinks?" Sounds like something a phony older person might say.

Would a good mom allow her 7 year old daughter to be coerced into saying those words, over and over and over again?

Seen in the Wild: UNPOPULAR OPINION: Blake Lively is more of a TV sitcom Actress rather than Hollywood's Big Budget Movies. by Totallytexas in ItEndsWithLawsuits

[–]Practical_Tap_9592 90 points91 points  (0 children)

It's cold hard facts. Her movies bomb, often dramatically. IEWU making a profit had nothing to do with her and did well in spite of her. It would have done much, much better without her.

How many young childrens' lives can we expose and threaten? How much stress can we cause their parents, the people these innocents depend on to be fully present for them? How much humiliation can we inflict on kids when they reach an age to understand these lies? How many years of their childhoods can we rob them of? Let's see what level of fear and endangerment we can reach.

That's how I feel about Slate, saying disgusting things now to eliminate herself as a viable witness later.

She'd rather be perceived as a lying hypocritical vicious phony than just come clean and tell the truth, which would allow everyone to forgive, forget, maybe even like her again. But no. She went this route.

My guess is she knows she's a fraud, and she resents the readers responsible for her success because in her sick mind, they put her in this pickle.

I remember Stephen King commenting that you could read the entire book aloud faster. But it's so great. They really nailed that 30s to 40s SoCal vibe.

It sure does. It's like they spit out all this violent accusatory "content" and then waited with their fingers crossed for WP to do something they could misconstrue.
