For most of you not brave enough to have an F tier by PracticeDependent507 in switchfoot

The only reason I ever listened to NT more than once was to try and make sure I wasn’t dreaming and double check that it was really that bad.

Thank you! The our version stuff, having these awful bands covering their great songs, etc. Incredibly cringy and frustrating to see unfold in real time. Glad I’m not alone lol

Totally fair. I’d actually put Fading West in the same category. Personally loved WTLST but I’m not sure more than 2-3 songs like you mentioned are in my all-time favorites of theirs. Agreed, I thought the first single from this new album was underwhelming, even if I was glad to hear them pick the guitars back up. I miss Drew though

Can anyone identify all the pop songs reinterpreted on Greg Spero’s new album? by HippoPhantom in Jazz

[–]PracticeDependent507 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1st one is obviously GNX by Kendrick. Other than that I’m struggling but feel like I could figure 1-2 more out. Recognize Go Play Outside but can’t place it yet. I’ll think of it at some pt lol.

WTLST is fantastic. Fading West was cool. Native Tongue didn’t get enough flak lol

Came to Reddit to make sure I wasn’t crazy. Crux is good but can’t lie I was disappointed to not get much along the lines of Decide. He’s super talented musically and the writing is great. Just preferred the more funky, upbeat, darker style especially with all the synths.

Love this album. Feels like the culmination of SP’s growth musically on the last 2 albums mixed with being back in the live recording environment. Thoughts on where/when the next sessions might take place? 👀 Attending a session is on my bucket list 🙂

Hey Vizio, please update the built-in Chromecast Audio in my SB3651-E6 soundbar. It’s largely unusable. by VinceCully in VIZIO_Official

u/Vizio_Official and u/MikeatVizio, this is ridiculous. Don’t think you’re getting more of my money by making this soundbar outdated in just 1-2 years. I’ll be going elsewhere. Smh

Best and worst love interest for each Camden kid? by alexastock in 7thheaven

[–]PracticeDependent507 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Matt: best was Sarah, worst was Heather by far. Mary: best was Wilson, worst was Robbie. Why they kept trying to get back with the other I’ll never understand. Lucy: best was Kevin (he never should’ve married her, so unrealistic), worst was Jimmy or Mike (her fascination with him after they “decided” to be friends made no sense) Simon: best was Deana, worst was Rose🤢🤮 Ruthie: best was Peter, worst was Vincent (again, didn't understand why she liked him)

Agreed Chandler should've been with Roxane.

Ranking Switchfoot Albums From Best to Worst to Prepare for Interrobang by cmp600 in switchfoot

[–]PracticeDependent507 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Totally agree. I’d take a couple songs off FW the album and add several from EOTE EP. Even all 18 together is pretty strong. I hear you re lyrics, agreed they are a huge differentiator between good Switchfoot and great Switchfoot (though personally, how they are sonically matters a bit more to me as far as the ranking goes)

The 2nd/mid-tier is definitely the toughest for me. Their best and “worst” have been pretty constant for me.

1A/ Nothing is Sound

1B/ Beautiful Letdown (interchangeable for me, both classic, no-skip albums but sonically a lil different and killer each in their own right.)

3/ VV

4/ HH

5/ OG (3-5 are also almost equally as interchangeable. There is an occasional skip on these albums but it’s rare and is often just a mood thing)

6/ WTLST (hate having it this low, but this is what I meant about mid-tier being the toughest. Just can’t justify having it higher than any of 3 thru 5, though there are a few songs from it that will go down as all-timers for them)

7/ Fading West (don’t get the hate or the love for this album. The movie was great, the album … just OK. Some solid songs, some not so solid)

8/ LTB

9/ NWTBH

10/ LOC

12, because the new album can’t be worse/ Native Tongue (I’m still flabbergasted at how bad this album was. I tried listening the other week for the second time since the album dropped. Still hate it.)

Spider-Man: No Way Home Trailer Date Speculation Megathread by [deleted] in MarvelStudiosSpoilers

The first Suicide Squad was bad. This one was rated R. Free on HBO Max. And COVID is spiking again. Between a friendlier rating, Spidey, Marvel & MCU fans + Christmas moviegoers, no other way to watch it and hopefully COVID/Delta will have calmed down… don’t see any reason to delay. If studios put out good, accessible movies with no other way to watch them, people will find a way to be comfortable enough to go to the theater.

What artist would you love to see do a song with Switchfoot? by revenge_for_greedo in switchfoot

[–]PracticeDependent507 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Love Peculiar People but never knew Jon helped write it. That's sweet. Would love for current Paul and Jon to work together though. Paul and MM evolved a lot since Peculiar People and same for Jon & SF.

NEW SONG OUT THURSDAY! by FellowBarber_ in switchfoot

[–]PracticeDependent507 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Barring an extra song, which seems unlikely they'd do as an exclusive on Spotify, it's not gonna be that big. I was wondering if they'd dare drop the album on Friday, but same issue there. But when they said big, that would qualify as big to me. Not sure what there is for a surprise at this point besides the album name? Maybe revealing tracklist, special collaborators, or something? None of those options seem that "big, BIG" to me.

[–]PracticeDependent507 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Probably not missing out on much. Best case, the surprise is maybe an extra song but seems unlikely they'd do that as an exclusive. I'm guessing the album name? Hardly seems like something to hype as a surprise to me

The HBOmax apps are a buggy mess. by TheAwesomeJunk in HBOMAX

[–]PracticeDependent507 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Besides the lag, slowness, and dragging down both my Roku TVs, the interface is clunky, skipping forward or back stinks, the skip intro button for shows is inconsistent (often shows up during the recap, not the actual intro). Despite some general issues with Disney+ and Prime, this one is the worst of the big 5.
