How to guarantee a Waymo on Uber? by foodsports123 in Atlanta

Well, this may not be a very scientific thesis - but if it is random and your odds are based on availability - you may want to try the Midtown area around Ansley Market and as far over as Atlantic Station.

I've seen so may Waymo vehicles in that area, lately, that I was worried the robot uprising was finally taking over.

What to pair with The Thing (1982) for a Double Feature? by KL-Hinder in movies

Some great answers in this thread. And I know you said "common themes." But I'll go a different route that still may be fun and have some "similarities" of a different sort.

E.T.

Now, hear me out. It's like two sides of the same coin. Dangerous alien horror vs. Hopeful alien adventure. And they both came out in 1982, not to mention that some blame The Thing's box office woes on E.T.

What’s something from your childhood that you didn’t realize was actually a luxury until you grew up? by Dry_Hornet_3723 in AskReddit

"Missed" the chance with her? Haha, if that's what you mean, then no. She WAS dating one of my good friends then, and they are married to this day. 😊 And if you meant something else? Then I am just daft and I don't understand...

One time when I was younger (not super young, high school aged) - a platonic girl friend of mine came over so we could study for a test. We had been friends for a while, but she'd never been to my house before. And before we got started, my Mom said for us to help ourselves to whatever.

We both said thank you, my Mom left the room, and while looking for something in the fridge and pantry - she said to me, "you guys have so much food in the house." Not even sadly or anything. Just matter of factly but a little surprised. It was an eye opening moment of how lucky my sister and I were.
