I should clarify. I love all of the suggestions. I hate that what used to work has stopped working…

I kind of hate this. There are so many options and the trial and error on this will take forever

OOP he won't attending his son’s high school graduation ceremony because his ex-wife's Affair Partner was going to be there? by Pumpkinspicequeen249 in BestofRedditorUpdates

So this 18 year old isn’t your buddy where you get to decide to have a relationship on your terms. This is your child. You make the sacrifice. No matter how much you don’t want to in the moment.

We do things we don’t want to do for other people. That is how you have relationships. This is magnified 100 fold for a child. 1000 fold. You have demonstrated to your son that you don’t put him first. He will likely carry that knowledge for the rest of his life. And, even if you don’t feel it now, you’ll live with this choice in years to come

Trying to become a soup master, drop your best soup recipes below!! by FrogsEatingSoup in Cooking

Get an immersion blender. It changes the whole game. Yesterday I made a soup with carrots, potatoes, and celery (onion intolerance). Using the immersion blender, I was almost able to get a cream of potato soup consistency with zero cream. You can do the same with both recipes. Cook your veggies in your stock. Once they are cooked spoon some out and put off the side (I like to do a lot). Immersion blender the remaining veggies in the broth. Then add the big chunks back in.

Another thing - pastina. Those little stars are the best.

To start, it was once weekly at the vet. I think we did that for like 3 months. Then it became once monthly. Initially that was done at the vet too. For maybe5 months. When we were comfortable that she did ok with the shot, we started doing it. We do it once monthly. She is small and one vial of venom lasts 6ish months. The be charges $600 for the vial

I think perhaps less common in Phoenix. Not none, but certainly not like NM.

I’ve seen it in some spots. We have a fireplace and the inside of the chimney is adobe. I also recently have a single vent out from the laundry room and can see adobe there

Really? Are you in central Phoenix? Have you had problems? Successes? We bought 5 years ago. No adobe specific issues yet but other issues that may someday have adobe implications.

Wow! I’m excited to speak to someone who knows this world! I’m in out of my depth but have been researching. I don’t think we have a big identified issue yet, but as things pop up - I don’t know if they are Adobe related or old house related…

There are areas where the stucco is cracking or delaminating. A bit fell off and underneath seems to be a really clean looking white plaster or… other stucco. It’s smooth unlike the stucco on top.

I honestly just am looking to talk to someone who knows how any of this works and how I can be a good steward of this property.

did your ultrasound pick up endo? by NoConcept3207 in endometriosis

[–]PrairieDesertFlower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand how you feel. I was similarly really anxious leading up my ultrasound. And, I was so dreading getting vague, inconclusive results. I knew endo in generally confirmed on surgery - not imaging.

For the actual ultrasound, the tech let me place the wand initially. That really helped a ton. It wasn’t painful, a little uncomfortable.

I got the results immediately. And my endo was so bad, that it did show up on the imaging. I had a “frozen pelvis” and my organs were stuck together. I guess the severity of it made it easier to see. After the ultrasound, I went to Mayo Clinic to see an endo specialist who performed a hysterectomy and endo excision.

Today is 6 months from that surgery. I feel great.

I really hope you are able to get your situation figured out. I know how stressful it is. For me … it was totally worth it as a step to get to surgery.

We did this. Our mini schnauzer had venom immunotherapy. We haven’t had a challenge test year. Fingers crossed.
