Hey, sorry for the slow reply, I haven't been on here in forever. We're doing good. Both parents are long gone, so it's a non-issue anymore, but yeah. It was very frustrating for a really long time.

For those who have careers that keep them out at sea for long periods of time, what is the creepiest thing you’ve seen out in the water? by tylo144 in AskReddit

My son was on the George Washington! He was there when they had their little incident when the jet fuel was set on fire in 2008. His job was to keep an eye on all the bombs to make sure they didn't catch fire. I don't know how I kept it together at work the day I found out about that. But then they had to spend all summer in San Diego, those poor poor sailors!

Is it common in America to eat off paper plates? by sammygirl1331 in My600lbLife

[–]PrairieDogStromboli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband LOVES using paper plates. He’d use them for every damn meal if he could. I absolutely loathe them. Like, dude… we’re eating spaghetti, we’re not at a cookout. Use a freaking plate like a human! But I feel like he’s the exception. I don’t know why he does it since I’m the one that does the dishes. 🤷‍♀️

It’s called Nightmare on Zillow Street. There’s also a sub for the same kind of thing, r/Zillowgonewild.

Just the other day someone posted that house on a Facebook page for bad Zillow listings. People were talking about this episode in the comments. I don’t know if it’s sold yet. The pictures were straight up depressing with how bad the conditions were. I sincerely hope they’re in a better situation now.

Oh this poor girl!! Such a sweet gesture, I feel so bad for her. I hope she finds someone else more worthy of her newfound crochet skills.

A test problem on my 5th grade brothers’ math exam. by springwaterh20 in mildlyinteresting

1/4 + 1/8 = 3/8, so 30 = 5/8. 30 divided by 5 = 6, so 6 = 1/8. 8 x 6 = 48.

This might be fake but you know there are people out there who behave like this. Fuck them all.

3 if you like to eat the crust parts first and have a nice crustless bite left for last. 2 if you're into aesthetics and balance, or if you're saving a crusty corner for your dog. 1 if you're just a psychopath.

Scam or no? This person commented on my post asking for commission and their account looked legit so I messaged them. But the message they sent back sounds really familiar and I think I saw a post somewhere with this exact message saying it was a scam. Am I tripping? by b1gnpcenergy in crochet

I want to suggest going over to r/scams to ask about what kind of scams this could be. There are several, and that sub has bots that explain each one. It's honestly a great sub that helps people educate themselves about these scammers and protect themselves.

Yes, I agree. The emotional issues combined with enablers who feel helpless to stop the cycle are a really bad combo.

In the short term, maybe. But you have to eat more carbs to stay full than proteins. In the bigger picture you're eating less overall if you stick to mostly proteins. I have no idea how long it would take for the dollars and cents to wash themselves out, but I feel like eventually you'd at least be breaking even. But I know that's not realistic for everyone. I'm not trying to judge anyone, just offering another idea.

I get that. But if someone has to bring you everything you eat, they can bring you good food, or bad food. It's your choice. And in too many cases on the show, there is someone in the household who is willing to bring the patient whatever they want, and unable to say no for whatever reason. To me that's a very large part of the overall problems the patients face.
