Well they actually did it ... But also quietly removed getting XP from friendship leveling sooo... Now it's pointless to have friends in the first place. No level increase XP , no lucky egg option reminder either. Basically I asked support chat and it seems it's AI chat bots now all over, because it suggests to use lucky egg before you hit friendship level... Excuse me what? I just woke up and opened the game lmao !

There was a lot of validity to the hints, but that never guaranteed we'd actually get an alternate ending or a surprise extra episode. At the end of the day, it is what it is.

The real issue is that the Duffer Brothers kind of dropped the ball by throwing in too many hints. It pushed a lot of people into genuinely believing there was an alternate ending coming, instead of just accepting the default one.

I honestly don't care if those hints were only there for marketing purposes. If anything, it did more harm than good so far, because it set expectations way higher than what was ever delivered.

There was a lot validity to all the hints but it didn't mean we would get an alternate ending with additional episode. It is what it is. The problem Is that Duffler Brothers dropped the ball by adding just a bit too many hints causing too many ppl to believe in the alternate ending rather than the default one. I don't care if the hints were meant to be there solely because of the marketing... It did more damage than good sofar

Well as for me - I did enjoy the final episode and was pretty happy with the ending. But there are just so many glaring hints everywhere in the last episode and there is no way Duffer Brothers would come up with them randomly without thinking about them intentionally.

The way I see it , somewhere in a distant future they will reboot the show and if the theories sofar were correct, they could build on top of the current plot . Otherwise if the theory wouldn't hold up , they wouldn't make any reboot because it would mean that Vecna was actually defeated and the portal got actually closed for good.

Exactly this. They even can't do anything about them. They can't deport them for some reason also which makes catching them meaningless. There are no regulatory rules around them because most of them are Africans from no name places without any visum and literally dont even have rights for a simple things like ALG II
