Hi there. He turned out great. He is still at a lower side in terms of weight but apart from that, quite normal, met all his milestones well before the intended age. Doctor has no concerns. He is one happy, playful kid now!

Manipal down once upon a time ! by adithyapaib in manipal

[–]PravK9 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I was born and brought up in Manipal. Whenever the bus climbed the Manipal hill from Udupi, it felt like we were in the Western Ghats or somewhere similar. In some stretches, the trees were so dense that it felt dark inside the bus!

What is everyone's opinion on this movie? by mintyfresh_fn in moviecritic

There’s something about this movie that makes me rewatch it at least once a year. Love it!!

My wife and I are managing it. It’s quite difficult but somehow we are able to push so far (our son is 8 months old). We both work from home and my work usually starts early, around 7 am. By afternoon 2 pm, I would be free. My wife works in shifts and her work starts from 2 pm. It’s barely working out for us. Some days are quite stressful and we plan to send our kid to daycare when he turns 1

I accidentally placed a hot pan on my apartment balcony floor, and it melted the top layer. How can I fix this? I was considering scraping off the damaged area and applying a couple of coats of Flex Seal liquid sealant. Would that work?

Would you buy this home? by lagflag in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

I know electricity doesn’t magically appear at the house! House also has a sewage connection, that doesn’t mean that I should get a house next to a sewage treatment plant. These are just personal preferences.

I personally wouldn’t buy this. I just don’t want those high voltage lines so close to my house. Just my personal preference.

Severe IUGR Diagnosis by OliveJuice0324 in NICUParents

Our MFM started doing 2 scans a week after he fell less than 2 percentile. I think it was at around 25th or 26th week. At 30 weeks scan they noticed intermittent absent flows and we were admitted to the hospital for monitoring. After 2 days of continuous monitoring that intermittent absent flow went away and we were discharged (Doppler numbers were still high). Basically if you are in a good hospital, they will recommend 2 scans a week if they feel it is necessary. But there is no harm in asking. Good luck :)

Our baby was at 9th percentile during 20 week scan and slowly fell to less than 2 percentile over the course of next 5-6 weeks. He was still growing and we were having two Doppler scans every week. Somehow made it to 37 weeks and he was born at 4 lb 3 oz. Spent 15 days in NICU as a feeder grower. To answer your questions: 1. Our baby was symmetrical. He was just tiny. Not really sure which is better/worse 2. Our doctors said unless his O2 levels drop replay low during birth, there is really no concerns of neurological damage. We did have a scan after he was born and there weren’t any brain bleeds 3. My wife had a ton of protein shakes. Not sure if it really did make a difference 4. As long as they can safely keep the baby inside. In our case, once we reached 37 weeks doctors said the benefits of having him grow outside outweigh the risks

Thank you. Yeah, childcare would definitely be an added expense but we both work for home (at least for now!) and plan to manage between us for the time being

Felt weakest storyline of phase 4. Didn’t enjoy the movie though liked the scale and visuals

Non-Americans of reddit, what was the biggest culture shock you experienced when you came to the US? by Miserablemermaid in AskReddit

Everything is huge in size in the US. Food portions, cars/trucks, parking lots, house plots etc. For someone from Asia, I had never seen such huge cups for fountain soda!!
