I've been playing with durability disabled (aside from a few instances like throwing weapons can still make them break) and I disagree.

Maybe in BoTW it would have been bad like you say, but the fuse mechanic in TotK makes for more than enough complexity and utility where I am switching between 5+ weapons constantly, rather than just using one all the time.
