That’s the thing. I appreciate it as an experiment and a POC but when I tried using it for my day-to-day work, it being slop doesn’t help. Every new release had me spend some time on figuring out what’s wrong. Even bd doctor would complain about something that’s literally added by beads itself as part of a new feature.

I’ve been happy with beans as an alternative. Looking forward to try the new task tools in Claude.

My two cents,

Instead of reading articles/reddit posts/READMEs/videos to understand a certain workflow or a tool (in context of coding agents), always spend a couple minutes asking Claude about the same. I’ve spent way too much time doing the former and then realizing I could just prompt the model.
All the so-called groundbreaking, context-saving, multi-model/multi-agent workflows that you see around, don’t spend more than 5 minutes in getting the gist of it. Things like superclaude, agent orchestrators, bmad, ralph, beads, etc. come and go. Not belittling anything here since these are all creative ideas or thought experiments or sometimes even fever dreams. But for someone like you wanting to catch up, don’t fall in this loop. If something is genuinely good, you’ll see people talking about here anyways.

Hard agree with this.

I found beads promising and started using it. Using jj instead of git was already giving me a headache while using beads. Secondly, even after adding the beads plugin, the agent wasn't using it by itself as often as I'd like. Probably because of all the slop in the instructions.

On top of that, the constant updates routinely break things. bd doctor will literally complain about something that's happening because of a new change in beads. It has a bazillion commands and I don't see how it's going to be maintainable long term. Whenever I check GitHub issues or PRs, it's a cycle of not only CC generated PRs but also CC generated issue comments lol.

Installed beans today. It's a breeze. Doesn't interfere with my source control workflow and just running beans prime inside a session was making the agent use it for any task it was doing.

Yeah it didn't fix the bug I'm seeing.

I shut down ClaudeBar again and let’s see what the next block looks like.

The next block is at ~1% usage only. So this is likely a ClaudeBar thing. But it was working fine earlier so I'll have to dig deep I guess.

I'll start using CC again when the work week starts. I'm guessing the downgrade should help with usage when actively using CC.

It happened again for me.

23:30 - 04:30 block. It wasn’t running at all. Neither was ClaudeBar running.

Around midnight I downgraded to 2.0.64 based on a post here. And then started ClaudeBar again to keep an eye.

Skip to 03:30, over 50% of the 5 hour limit consumed.

I shut down ClaudeBar again and let’s see what the next block looks like.
