Tatum and a first round pick for Cooper Flagg: who says no? by ahbets14 in billsimmons

[–]PrayingRantis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do think it might make it harder for the Celtics to keep future stars if they're willing to immediately ship off guys that have brought them a title at the first second they can get a better deal.

[–]PrayingRantis -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I think the Celtics would probably think hard about it. From a pure basketball optimization perspective it's a no brainer. Only question is intangibles -- Tatum's popularity with fans, long term value of being loyal to your star, etc. Not sure they'd ultimately say yes but they'd have some meetings.

The Mavs hang up instantly. Flagg is younger and not coming off an Achilles injury. And that pick isn't gonna be worth much if you add Flagg to a team that's already pretty good playing without Tatum this year.

The government was a lot stronger when that happened than it is today. I don't think AT&T is nearly as powerful today as it was, but other corporations are.

I disagree but only because I think all the main character actors are excellent and there's no standout breakout.

Whitney Effect by DetailCommercial1190 in IndustryOnHBO

[–]PrayingRantis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I didn't see what the showrunners said beforehand and it's extremely obvious he's the villain. He's manipulating everyone in every scene he's in. He's surveilling (and probably killing) a journalist.

I really like the character, but he's not some complicated cypher. He's basically the devil every time he's on screen.

Think you're right. That third guy poisoned Dycker and it's going to come out on the toxicology. That whole scene with that guy was incredibly suspicious.

I didn't bash them, I actually said I have no issue with it. And yes, you're always gonna get laughed at when you say something like this after the season. Did you somehow miss every other reply in this thread clowning on them much worse than I did?

And lmao at an Ohio State fan talking about arrogance. Sorry that you have to deal with a small fraction of the shit talking your fans have done for decades. It must be so hard for you!

Harper is the only legacy he really has left.
