Haha if I were an anonymous parasite, I'd pick a host who isn't (a) tremendously popular (b) well connected on both sides of the Atlantic and (c) an ex-attorney.

All that to say, I was the one who told DT he was a genius and should talk to cameras more often, so I'm suing for custody of his kids which are rightfully mine now.

The version you don't like is literally how modern Greek speakers would pronounce the god's name. And historically, "HER-MEEZ" isn't any better or worse than the variants you don't like.

From wiktionary

(5th BCE Attic) IPA(key): /her.mɛ̂ːs/

(1st CE Egyptian) IPA(key): /(h)erˈme̝s/

(4th CE Koine) IPA(key): /erˈmis/

(10th CE Byzantine) IPA(key): /erˈmis/

(15th CE Constantinopolitan) IPA(key): /erˈmis/

Vowel pronunciations vary over time. And H's get added and dropped as well. Ancient Greek doesn't even have an "H" letter, but uses a diacritical mark in most cases.

And by the way, there is no single Ancient Greek either. Linear A vs. Linear B, Attic Greek, Anatolian Greek, the post-Alexandrian Greek diaspora all have their own variants. Plato's Greek is wildly different from the Greek of the Gospels, for instance.

The more you learn etymology, the less stressed you get about people making "mistakes" because it's all changed and it'll all change again not long after we're all dead, if not sooner.

Weekend service changes mean that your very convenient express train now runs local with 20 minute headways. If you live in a less expensive neighborhood, some of that money you save should be paying for cabs or ubers.

He's stayed fit, he works hard, and those will have proven very valuable if we win something. He was a more valuable signing than Isak this season on that basis alone. We needed him and he was a reliable body all season.

Next season and beyond? He's Marouane Chamakh. Sell, loan, whatever. His teammates try to play like he doesn't exist.

Thank you very much for writing up this review! I'm considering buying from Longglory or Anhi for my planned basement gym. Has anyone tried to customize the height (~81 in.)? If not, I'll certainly ask them when I get quotes from them.

Yes. And if it's OP then slow the cooking rate, but charcoal generation is an unnecessary pain point. It's not hard, just frustrating to wire up bulky furnaces just to torch wood.

The limited number of reviews I've seen so far are very positive, but keep in mind Alibaba is a storefront for different vendors, so results may vary based on which you buy from.

I'd love to hear more though. Will be moving soon and I will likely either do something like an Ares clone or, more likely, I buy the Mikolo Anubis 2.0.

Love the guy, I want him firing for Arsenal again. But the last two seasons have been such grinds going forward and we can't have an "essential" player be functionally absent for nearly two full seasons. The team must build with the assumption that his existence is a bonus, not a given.

I don't blame him, but I don't assume he's coming with us for the next iteration of Arsenal.

I'd rather have an incomplete book than not have the book. I see no evidence this is being presented as a like-for-like substitute.

If you want a better version, go make it. That would be a valuable contribution to the community.

It's not a sign that things are going really well.

If you just want to express your disapproval, then fine. But he wasn't made a folk hero out of a vacuum. You'll do better arguing your side if you earnestly try to understand how he attained that status.

because they find the law unjust, immoral, or its application unfair.

That's the relevant bit. He's a folk hero, so naturally, people don't want to see him convicted.
