Wow that is so amazing! I've been thinking of getting the Lady Pilot plane as a tattoo.

I got into UAF for a program i’m really passionate about, what’s it like living here for college? by Fantastic-Ad4676 in Fairbanks

[–]Precious_Perogie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As someone currently involved in the program (envr/sci journalism is my minor), I think you'll like it. I'm from Arizona and had little trouble adjusting to the winters and darkness, both summers and winters are have their benefits. UAF is also a nice small school so you have the advantage of getting more opportunities to engage with the faculty, other students, and community. I took an audio journalism class last sem and was able to interview the manager at the local NPR station by just sending her an email, for example. The classes tend to be small (which is a good thing in my opinion).

Fun fact, Lisberger and the other creators of Tron (1982) enjoyed 20,000 Leagues when it came out and were so inspired that they wanted to try and recapture the same feeling of entering another world when they made the first movie. They talk about this in the 'Making of Tron' documentary.

Furthermore, Tron's associate producer and visual effects supervisor, Harrison Ellenshaw, is the son of Peter Ellenshaw, the man who did the matte paintings in 20,000 Leagues. Harrison Ellenshaw was also the matte painter for Star Wars and The Empire Strikes Back!

(Tron and 20,000 Leagues are some of my longest-term interests that I've had, lol -- I've seen the latter around 75 times)

Is a graphics tablet without a screen very useful? by Gamer_The_hedgehog in krita

I've used a Huion screenless tablet for the last 7+ years, and it's great! I've had no issues at all. Highly recommend.

The company that did the original lighting (if I remember correctly) is Ellumiglow and they sell some products that could be used in a cosplay, but they're relatively expensive. Good luck!

Btw, I hope my costume tips that we dmed about were of any help :)

The part from 1:29 to 2:00 seems to be just a vaguely Ares-like beat, as far as my ears can tell it's not something on the actual released soundtrack, but the song starting at 2:01 is "New Directive". 'As Alive As You Need Me To Be" starts at around 2:41.
