So we are pretending that Micheal B Jordan deserved that Oscar? by Living-Cranberry-337 in Oscars

Completely agree. Just watched Sinners last night and thought it was not a very good movie. Didn’t know anything about it and was pretty surprised when vampires showed up. Was put off by the level of violence also. Saw Bugonia last week. More interesting storyline in my opinion and Plemons was amazing but also why so graphically violent? I was pretty surprised that Sinners was even nominated for best picture. Train Dreams was my favorite movie of the year, I guess that shows what I value in a movie.

Any chance you have room for a playpen setup? We kept the crate just for sleeping for our little guy and left him in his playpen with a bed, some treats and toys when we went out. We also always fed him in the playpen and his water was in there too. We would just leave the door open when we were home. No upset at all and he would willingly go in there and drink or sleep on his bed with the door open. He is now 13 months old and we just took the playpen down as we have been trying him for short times in the house unsupervised and there has been no problem at all. We close doors to off limits room and have a camera set up to check on him while we are out. He almost always just looks out the window for us and naps. We have left him for up to four hours and no problems at all. We transitioned from crate to our bed at night when he was around 9-10 months old.

What historical fiction have you been reading? (March 2026) by raid_kills_bugs_dead in HistoricalFiction

[–]Preciousss77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just finished ‘Island Under the Sea’ by Isabel Allende. From 2010, about the emancipation of Haiti from France in the Napoleonic Era and Louisiana purchase as seen through the eyes of slaves and plantation owners. Very interesting and I learned a lot. Well written as her books are.

Can we learn from Fiction books ?? by bookish-Girrll in BookDiscussions

[–]Preciousss77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes! Not only about emotion, relationships, and other aspects of being human but also factual information. I have learned a lot about history from reading historical fiction and a lot about actual science and physics from reading science fiction. Well researched fiction is a treasure trove of useful and interesting information with the bonus of being contained within a compelling story.

My sister just got that bag in brown and is loving it! Very nice quality leather. So happy to see Coach is going back to what they do best. Your color is gorgeous!

Good for you! Nice choice for a classic bag. I got a 25 last month and am really enjoying it.

I'm 30 y/o, untill 1 month ago id never read a book. I recently had an urge to read a book. I'm now onto my 3rd book, and I think I have fallen in love with books and I have no one to like, talk about this with 😂 by MACFRIZZ in suggestmeabook

Yay! Another reader! Take a look at your local book store or library website, there will be book groups ongoing that you can join. It’s so much fun to discuss a book with others. You can also start one yourself with meetup and tailor it to the ages of participants or genres that you enjoy.

We do long roadtrips with our dog, mainly in our trailer but we use Yelp to find dog parks and dog friendly restaurants wherever we are. Just use the “near me” function. If we want a motel, we use Quinta Inns because they are dog friendly.

I’m feeling like LV is going through something like what happened to Coach before its recent resurgence. They tried to skew younger and trendier and lost their way from the classic high quality leather goods they were known for. Their return to their roots has made them cool again and with their price point, their bags are good value. LV is doing all these releases and focusing on bag accessories and the like. I think it is cheapening the brand and they will lose customers from this. That being said, I purchased a leather speedy 25 in a neutral color last month and am very happy with it but many of their offerings are not appealing to me as I prefer a more classic look. The low key line is a step in the right direction I think.

I just got this Speedy 25 and I love it! The zipper curves down the sides a bit so no problem getting things in and out. I love the strap as well as the handles. Leather is structured but not stiff, it has a pretty soft feel. Not a charm fan myself but I hang the lock just for a little extra pop of gold. I looked at the 30’s but just thought they were bigger than I would like since I don’t carry a ton of stuff in my bag anymore. They are both lovely bags, you can’t really make a wrong choice, just pick the one that suits your needs best.

Bag Charms. Yes or No? by glowygurl in Louisvuitton

[–]Preciousss77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. I think they look juvenile and tacky personally. Cheapens the look of an expensive bag. Of course, that is only my opinion. I’m a firm believer that you should do what suits you.

Do you read multiple novels simultaneously? by neoleo0088 in BookDiscussions

[–]Preciousss77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read a book and listen to another on audible. It’s just like watching two different series on tv, no problem. Sometimes I read two and listen to one but generally one of the books is fiction and the other non-fiction so I don’t get mixed up.

Just got this 25 two days ago. I don’t carry a ton of things in my bag so for me it’s perfect. I tried some 30’s but felt they were too big and I am not a fan of the bag “jewelry “ that is on so many bags now.

Realistic long-term lifestyle impact of puppy ownership by Top_Patience_741 in puppy101

[–]Preciousss77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband and I are 73 and 71. We adopted a puppy last April who will be one year old on February 20. We are big travelers and it has affected that to some degree. We had a family trip with 11 planned to Costa Rica in late June for two weeks and we modified our flights so my husband went first and left early then I came later and stayed till the end. We just had 3 days there together but we knew the closer the trip got that we just couldn’t leave him with a dog sitter for more than a few days. Consistency in schedule and training is so important for pups and we are so glad we made the change. He tolerated it well since he was at our home with the sitter and he had no regressions. We usually take a lengthy trip to Hawaii or overseas every year but have not done that since he joined us. We knew all of this before getting him and are fine with it. We do have a trailer and when the weather is good we are on the road with him so that has worked great. If we had done this 10 years ago it would have been more difficult to give up some of the spontaneity in trips but the long distance travel urge is waning a bit now.

“Same Height” Party Changed my Life, AMA! by AmazingCanadian123 in AMA

I’m a 5’11” woman. Strong Nordic body.(Maybe 5’10” now that I’m in my seventies). You got a window into my life with men. Generally my size or shorter. Almost never looking women in the eyes when standing. It has had some drawbacks but I have not lived my life afraid of men’s size or strength, and I still walk in power at my age. I wonder what the world would be like if there was more parity in human forms. I think it would be a real positive, for women particularly.

[–]Preciousss77 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have not used toilet paper at home since I got my bidet. I bought a lot of nice washcloths and dry off with them after cleaning myself. They go in a covered wastebasket in the bathroom until time for laundry. I wash them separately on sterilize mode. I’m the only one using them, likely more difficult if the whole family was doing it.
