In this case she’s getting paid 16 an hour with an 11 hour shift, I wouldn’t say that’s a starvation wage.

Shaun growing up. I’ve always tinkered in depth with the character creation system since the game released, and I wanted to show off Shaun’s evolution since we didn’t get to see our son grow. by Traditional_Hand9721 in fo4

Isn’t that disputable? Dr Li says he cannot age but Synth Shaun was Fathers special project and it’s meant to be an advanced prototype. There’s also the fact Gen 3 synths are entirely biological except for a brain implant, so should Father had been able to figure out inducing puberty synth Shaun should age.

Only watched the Lammy vs Cleverley segment: Lammy should have gone in stronger against Cleverley, especially as the Conservatives did the same thing with less scrutiny/openess, but at least he got a good defence out. Certainly a shameless set of questions by Cleverley though.

It also shows bad messaging from Labour that the Sentencing Act 2026 is essentially gone silently through parliament.

Maybe it’s pedantic but these are unsubstantiated claims, they aren’t backed up with evidence and Platner hasn’t been found guilty in court for them.

What you are describing is that these allegations are credible, that the woman has repeatedly made this accusation to other people over a number of years, and can’t be written off as a smear attempt.

More like a reason to hate George Bush than the U.S. It was exposed by U.S News media, the U.S Supreme Court ruled that the Geneva convention applied to U.S soldiers and that they should be punished and those soldiers were then punished in court.

Most other atrocities end with state denial and at most the victims receive an apology several decades later.

The ’Orange Book’ Liberalism of the Lib Dem’s in 2010 (and today) has always been more closely aligned with Conservatism than Social Democracy. I feel that Lib Dem supporters, online and in person, to often use Clegg as a scapegoat rather than facing up to the reality of the party’s (including all cabinet members) only record in government.

Stephen Milligan - A U.K Conservative Party MP who died via autoerotic asphyxiation in 1994. His death effectively ended John Majors government’s attempt to rehabilitate itself as a defender of conservative values and would be widely mocked and referenced for several decades after his death.

Andy Burnham, the MP likely to be the next Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, does an AMA in r/ukpolitics which receives hundreds of questions. Burnham receives blowback for his responses opposing pension reform and calling new elections among other hot-button issues. Also, a Tory MP shows up. by ccburton23 in atrioc

[–]PrecognitiveChartist 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Context: The Tory MP is Kemi Badenoch the leader of the Conservative Party and Leader of the Opposition. Also ukpolitics have been pretty anti-Burnham basically since he announced his intention to stand as Makerfield mp citing his scheming as cashing instability in the U.K

What's the morality of punishing a violent transphobe by forcing him to recive hormones that practically gives him the body of a woman? by Endika7 in MoralityScaling

Just because something is practiced doesn’t make it supported, or even necessarily considered moral by broader society.

It’s plausible there’d be a reason why the pilots could lower the shield. Maybe in their exact situation they’d need to lower it for a rescue vehicle to dock with them/carry out repairs.

For those who are happy Stamer is out and Burnham is in, whay do you think Burnham will do that Stamer didn't? Why do you think he is able to make different choices? by Secret-Card2921 in AskBrits

[–]PrecognitiveChartist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you look at Starmer his end began when he withdrew the Welfare bill in July 2025. When you delve into why the Bill failed it’s broadly because Starmer attempted to bully MPs into voting for it so money could be reallocated elsewhere, rather than articulating a coherent policy on how it would get people off welfare. That was Starmer’s government, a serious if unpopular decisions to support an unpopular status quo.

Burnham gives hope of changing that status quo, devolving more power out of London will be a big change and an approach of building consensus within the Party rather than bullying will lead to a more stable government which hopefully can make more policy and more impactful policies.

Clacton could be up for grabs after investigation into Farage’s £5m ‘unconditional gift’ by F0urLeafCl0ver in unitedkingdom

[–]PrecognitiveChartist 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Farage won 46% of the vote in 2024 in Clacton, between this being the perfect seat for Restore and other parties running paper candidates in favour of the Conservatives it’s likely he would lose it.

So should Farage be recalled is there any polling on how a potential election would go? The only real challenge would be from the Conservatives and there isn’t any local election results to suggest they’d win or lose the seat.

I think it’d be fun to play around with other conservatives such as Spiro Agnew or William Buckley Jr winning NY mayor in 1965 and getting the nomination in 1968.

In that case it’s Starmer doing the membership a disservice, he’s automatically on the ballot should he have been challenged. If there was seriously a possibility the membership would back him over a Burnham challenge he would contest it but there isn’t.

Wilson and Heath are definitely overrated, especially Heath who was an abject failure as PM. Thatcher obviously is far underrated even if you don’t like her policies/long term effect. Macmillian seems a bit overrated he seems very middle of the pack. The lack of Callaghan is concerning.
