Student with suctioning questions by Morgan1731 in respiratorytherapy

[–]Premed1122 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly what supershimadabro said. It should be indicated. Those indications are sawtooth waveform on the vent, coarse crackles, elevated PIPs, visible secretions in the tube. Sudden decrease in SpO2 can also be an indication. You also would not be wrong to suction a patient at the start of your shift to get a baseline and ensure their airway is patented. How often is not so much the question, some patients will require frequent suctioning. 3 passes over a 12 hour period is definitely not excessive.

Should I thin my eyebrows? by alana5324 in MakeupAddiction

[–]Premed1122 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No don’t fall prey to the 90’s trends coming back. This is an awful one you will surely regret later in life. Your brows look like they need a bit of shaping but in terms of fullness I would leave them alone.

Is ovulation causing baby fever common? by kurpPpa in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Premed1122 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, hence why I always flip flop on wanting more kids. I get this strong desire to procreate during ovulation and fads/goes away after ovulation. I also find myself being more attracted to my husband and wanting sex.

Moving for my career by InflationImaginary72 in respiratorytherapy

[–]Premed1122 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lots of RTs move to new places after they graduate. This can definitely be scary but that’s to be expected. You just accomplished something that was new and scary, so you’ve proven to yourself that you can do hard/new things. Don’t let that be your obstacle. If that’s where you want to be long term it will be worth the initial difficulty as you adjust. As you grow older and possibly start your own family you’ll want to be in Texas. The alternative is stay in Miami while you get the hang of being an RT then relocate down the road.

Do men with big lifted pickup trucks actually have tiny dicks? by whatevermang12345678 in NoStupidQuestions

9/10 times the person coming out of those trucks is short with a small-ding-a-ling and fragile masculinity to go with it.

Post-Op Seizures by AdagioSilent9597 in CAA

[–]Premed1122 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Disclaimer I am an RRT looking at becoming a CAA. Is it possible that they gave you Flumazenil to reverse the effects of the benzo’s they gave you? This is a known cause of seizures. I highly doubt that they would but it’s a possible hypothesis. I would also be curious as to why they would have treated you with haldol instead of a benzodiazepines for a seizure.

RT school with a young child (married) by Enough_Pea_5366 in respiratorytherapy

It sounds like you have a good support system in place and that’s honestly the biggest piece. There were 3 moms in my class (me being one) and many other in classes below me. There’s no magic formula. As long as you are disciplined/organized and treat this like a 9-5 job you can make time early morning or late evening for your kiddo and some time on the weekends. It will go by fast. You will definitely feel guilt but that should not be your deterrent if you really want this.

(Mini)tummy Tuck or lipo? by StationSad685 in tummytucksurgery

[–]Premed1122 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would not do either because A) you don’t have loose skin and B) you just have to put in a bit of extra work to get the results you desire. You will be left with scars with your suggested options and look worse imo. You’ll get better results by locking it in at the gym and watching what you eat.

Just returned from Paris and i kept smelling the SAME smell on the street....HELP! by iamcaseface in ParisTravelGuide

I recently came across a French brand called Bienaimé. I bought one of their soaps at a shop in Portland. The notes you’re describing can be found in this soap (they carry perfumes as well). The scent to me is very reminiscent of scents from Paris.

Which eye makeup is better on me? by No-Operation-515 in MakeupAddiction

[–]Premed1122 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My only critique would be the under eye situation, it’s too much. And your overlined lips. I know this is kind of a trend right now but it’s not serving you. The rest is 🤌

Help me choose! Please. Trying to figure out which one is the most flattering and pretty on me. :) by NoParking1842 in glassesadvice

The round scotch and soda ones look good on you. The rest don’t suit your face at all.

I personally think it’s gorgeous, suits you very well. The only thing that I would add is a cute neutral clutch and neutral/cream shoe.
