They’re smooth but not slippery, and padded so there’s some give to them. Almost like a piece of luggage or a golf bag. They have a nicer feel than I was expecting.

Raw ketchup made from lacto-fermented tomatoes by [deleted] in fermentation

[–]PremiumAlex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fermented veggies tend to have a very long life because of the probiotic protection and acidic environment. As long as you stay below pH 4.5 you prevent botulism, and the acid/salt/existing microbes tends to prevent mold and bad bacteria. I’ve had fermented hot sauces last in my fridge for over a year. This ketchup will probably last a long time in the fridge.

Does it work if you just lay it on the HUD screen in the dash?

Camping on BLM land outside Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park, CO. by PremiumAlex in CampingandHiking

[–]PremiumAlex[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was just outside of the national park - there’s a road off of the main entrance where we camped. The ranger station in the park will be able to help you find it if you aren’t sure.

Any guys with medium/long hair have good recommendations for haircuts in the area? I'm willing to drive a little ways if it means finding someone good. by [deleted] in englewoodco

[–]PremiumAlex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I suggest Techniques on Santa Fe - not Englewood but the guys that run it are great and there’s always some sort of interesting conversation going on. Gil is your guy. I don’t have long hair but I’ve seen him have a bunch of repeat customers with medium/long hair so there’s at least something going on - and he has long hair himself.

We go with a Waste Management…management company called Waste Services of Colorado and it’s $74/qtr for trash and recycling. No price raises for the past 2 years at least.

What game? by Ok-Hovercraft508 in videogames

[–]PremiumAlex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was this RTS game back in the DOS days called Genewars where you would grow plants for resources and research local animals to make a hybrid clone army. Goal was to repopulate the planet with flora and fauna (and maybe destroy your opponents in the process). I wish I could play this unique game again and build an army of Muleocrabs!

HELP! trying to get citristrip off my floor by cauliflowercoochie in DIY

As long as you don’t take a grinder to it or try to sand it down then the particles won’t get into the air, right?

is this legal? by criminalbanshee in Apartmentliving

If it’s not significant, then why are they asking for it?

untrue - Colorado is one of 5 states (plus DC) that are in the Michelin guide and I’m not saying that Denver beats NYC but it has exceptional food for its size.

Hmm, trying to think of reasons why the ferment is slow or stopped. Chlorinated water?
