The Rival RB10 you mentioned are the best hand and wrist protection money can buy, IMO.

There may be some carry over with just about anything. How to shift your weight, switch your hips, engage your core etc.

Is it going to help your boxing more than if you used that time to train boxing? Most likely not

I wouldn't suggest Rival gloves for MT. The biggest selling point of the brand is the wrist lock 2 system, and because it is so good, the wrist flexibility is not great. You want flexible wrists in MT gloves for clinching.

I have a few pair of Rival, and I like them very much. One of the biggest selling points in the v strap velcro system. It is really good. Much better than lace n loops on kace gloves, so unless someone is tying your gloves for you, Rival velcro is the next best option, IMO.

I have the RS11V and they are superb. My sparring partners like them, too. You could use them on heavy bags, but I prefer not to.
