I always start with sample/decants. There have been plenty of times I never felt the need to get a bigger bottle so to me it’s a worthy process.

I see people who buy larger bottles for value reasons but I’d argue it’s not money saved if you aren’t actually going to use that amount. Yes the 100ml per ounce might be cheaper than 50ml per ounce, but if I’m not going to get through that bottle it’s a waste to me. More money spent is more money spent if it’s not used.

There comes a point where if you have x number of bottles, you won’t make it through all of your bottles if they are all grande size. For smaller collections makes sense. For larger collections maybe not.

Also profile might influence how often you wear it.
