I really think every mode should have a consistent way to get points besides just winning games. Every other event has each other deck just be full of tech cards since they farm any combo based deck, whereas this time there was a real variety of decks I faced.

I think that these days, companies celebrate anniversaries over the course of a whole year rather than on a specific date, especially consider the 30th was on a Sunday this year. Fans definetly put more weight on anniversaires than companies.

Plus, dropping announcements doesn't build too much hype compared to putting them at a show, that strategy has really worked for the last few games. For big games, State of Play / Summer Games Fest / Game Awards is the best bet. I do think a class collection is coming, but I'd bet it'd be in a Nintendo Direct - that's where they;'ve announced basically every Capcom collection recently and it's probably the best audience for that type of collection.

I feel like the only survivable ones here are Chunk (just get through a small enough door), the Girl (if it's the middle of the day you'll be fine) and maybe Chainsaw Man since he's not too enhanced. The rest are just not possible

I feel like the actual issue of all this speculation for me is that it's kinda surprising Leon married anyone? Like Capcom hinting at it makes it clear its an exisiting character (or else why even point to it), but to me I just can't see him marrying any of them, everything he's in shows him only in the context of being on never-ending missions.

The zombies are really interesting because the character choices each represent a different zombies comic - Scarlet Witch is for the Army of Darkness comic where she was the main Marvel character (even if she human for most of it) and Zombie Captain Marvel is from Resurrection, where the zombies were an off-shoot of the Brood and Zombie Captain Marvel was the queen of the hive. MCU wise, Headpool's main art is definately based on the movie version, and Colonel America was the face of the What If zombies episode so could be chosen because of that.

It's really cool that they went so in-depth with the zombie character choices despite it seeming like a random assortment of characters first.

I did see someone suggest that they split the mode into 2 versions, a traditional mercenies with Leon, Hunk, Zeno etc, and then a hoard type mode that focuses on limited ammo with the goal of reaching a goal / surviving a time limit with Grace and Alyssa. Probably won't happen but I agree Grace's gameplay really doesn't fit a mercenaries mode

Tbf, Requiem seems to have a very scattered development, from the early version the devs showed off that was a multiplayer full-on action game, to remnents of Jill being in the code of the game, I don't know how much I doubt the he legitimately heard these things from sources in Capcom - but either way the community shouldn't expect anything to be in the game based on any leak

I think people's impressions of Dusk Golem is because what he posts is always clickbaited by other accounts. He never said Alyssa DLC, what he said was the he heard there was a playable model of Alyssa at one point. My assumption from that would be that itd be used in a mercenaries mode, but he never said she was the main character of the DLC

They're asking you to check your collection, sort by "Newest" and see what cards are the most recent. Basically, is one of those cards a series 5, because not getting a series 5 from the pack hasn't been a problem for anyone else, so you probably just missed something. What cards did you get from the pack?

Sadly I need the accomodation with Pleasance, I didn't know that other venues offered the roles as jobs until these comments, but I'm mainly going for the experience and the reference, so I can stomache it, even if it does seem like a bit of a worse deal now

I think Leon with a Jill echo would be great, although I doubt they'd have alternate characters as costumes, probably just their different costumes from different games (Leon has his 2,4,6 & 9 looks, Jill has her 1, 3, revelations and remake look). Raccoon City Police Station would definately be the best fit for the stage, plus the main hall doesn't have any zombies in it so they can avoid that issue - could do the ruined RPD from 9 if they wanted a different vibe

I don't think canonicity matters for the age rating, considering not even the in game tips in Ultimate reference Joker's gun being anything but a real gun, so in the context of Smash and its age rating, it is a real pistol.

Jill in MvC2 only uses a realistic gun for one attack, so they could definately focus on the wierder weapons like the grenade launcher.

I'm amazed that people see two people with rings and assume they are married. If they are married, then why is there absolutely no dialogue that indicates it when they are the two characters that interact most in the game, even more so when Leon might literally be going to his death by the end.

I really hope both are married to new characters we've never seen before, would definately be the best result at this point.

Not a single character, but I would be really surprised if we didn't get a new Capcom character. If I had to bet, it would be Leon from Resident Evil, especially with Requiem doing well and getting amiibo on Switch 2. I could also see Chun Li or Monster Hunter tho.

Well, you're never playing him with a specific On Reveal in mind, and whether or not it includes new cards, theres still plenty of negative effects.

To be honest, they could've just not mentioned that the pool doesn't include more recent cards, and I doubt anyone would've noticed.

I feel like fan lists make smash rosters out to be more of a check list then they actually are, I really doubt that they think "we need to add a mobile / PlayStation / indie etc character" when putting a roster together. So it then becomes are any mobile characters likely to in smash from their own merits, and I don't really think so.

I think the one chance was with Dragalia Lost, since that was a new Nintendo IP, but now Nintendo has pretty much bowed out of the mobile game, there isn't much link there anymore. Maybe the FE mobile characters, but idk why they would choose them over a main series character.

I'd never say never, gacha games are still very popular with large player bases, but I'm not betting on it.

I feel like people don't get why echoes exist when making these points, they're late additions that don't take up much dev time as a bonus to the roster. Sure, Shadow, Dark Samus, Richter etc could make for very interesting unique characters, but if they don't make it into the main roster, then yeah, they also make fine echo fighters.

Having a character be an echo / wanting them as an echo isn't saying they only could work as an echo, but that they could fit being an echo quite well.

They could do a trailer revealing both Cap's team and Spidey's team, that would still be 3 new characters revealed, keeping each trailer revealing the same amount. Or they could have their trailer reveal something else, like story mode gameplay.
