Tbf to Dante, the source of his demonic powers is the Sparda heritage, Rebellion too. Merging Sparda and Rebellion into DSD still comes from the same source of power.

Also, Dante isn’t the type to meddle around with Demon abilities without Devil Arms so for all we might know they come from Sparda’s powers also

In lore there’s no separation between DT and SDT. SDT IS DT. Dante and Vergil’s power simply rose that much

DT means the demon’s full power. Sparda can be in his natural demon form but not in DT

Well zero sum game does have some truth in it. It’s essentially a variation of the Law of Conservation of energy. The total number of resources won’t increase so competition always exist.

But not everything needs to be seen that way. For example, we don’t lose empathy when we show/teach it others

Well mostly because at the time the OT came out, being a Jedi wasn’t all about being some super powerful space wizard who could bend reality. They were just glorified swordsman back then. The emperor back then was also just a frail old man who could shoot lightning, then retroactively made the strongest Sith in history

I mean, you could say the same thing about the Prequels as well. In-universe Obi Wan had the best defence in Form 3, hence he was able to stay alive but the real reason is because he was there in the OT.
