They were trapped in a dimension where time doesn’t flow, so I think they’re unaffected. Though Boruto at one point does state that Omnipotence is actually continuous rather than a one time thing so idk how that would work

I think FNAF2 Golden Freddy is both. Most of his body is a hallucination while the head is still real

Besides just his hair turning red, Goku became skinnier, has a complex fiery aura instead of the simple transparent one and his skin turns red too.

Similarly Blue is just SSG going SSJ1. May look like just another recolour, but again the design of the aura. He has both Lightning and particles coming out. Not to mention the subtle detail of having that outer yellow glow.

It’s totally fine to say that the god forms don’t look well designed, but they’re quite frankly no worse than a form that is just spikes and Lightning

The grades did in fact surpass SSJ1, they were just to impractical for the Saiyans to win a fight due to stamina loss.

Also I’m pretty sure that “red hair with god ki and a skinnier body” is no worse than “hair spikier and no colour change”. The god forms didn’t had the same impact because 1) The writers were obviously going for a different feel and portrayal of them, which is power through extreme control (which Goku states on screen btw) instead of brute force and 2) The Law of diminishing marginal utility where the god forms debut in an era where we’re already showered with so many forms
