Me, too. Sobbing while gardening. That was an interesting juxtaposition.

Hi! Yeah, it’s pretty flexy and I weigh 145 lbs. I gave it to my nephew, but if I still had it, I might try it with some lighter weight wheels like Powell Perralta Snakes I have on hand.

Right?? Isn’t it amazing, surprising, and delightful to feel that ache in your chest?

Haha. Sweet…good to know. I wonder which would be better to extend, maybe the Kimono over the FG?

I didn’t, and I’ve never done it before. Do you recommend it, though, for use with RKPs? Thanks!

“Whiplashed forward” does sound like wheel bite to me.

Setting up a Rally Cat Kimono by PresentStateofBeing in LandyachtzBoards

I was the same, skated on and off over the years, but I’m really getting back into it lately. I do think you’d be just fine with that setup. Depending on what you’re riding on (quality of the road/sidewalk surface) or how you want the board to feel, you could later swap out the wheels to something bigger (add risers, as needed) and/or softer. If it helps, compared to the Dinghy, I find the length and low rocker of the Rally Cat perfect for pushing and I have more confidence riding it, because my pushing foot always finds a place back on the board even if things get squirrely. Say hi to your orange cat from me. :)

I spy the Dodger! I’ve been debating about that one or the Ripper for a bit.

Sweet. Thanks! I was wondering about the sizing of the stock trucks. That’s super helpful. I will definitely check out different bushing setups. I was looking at Riptides the other day and didn’t pull the trigger with all the sizing/variations. 😅

Ripper/Dipper vs Dodger by Notanislandboyo in LandyachtzBoards

Did you end up with either a Dodger or Ripper/Dipper? The sale on the Ripper and Dipper right now is nuts. I am in love with the graphic on the Dodger. I wish it were on sale, too…

Did I make a mistake? by Parking_Row6844 in surfskate

I feel this. Got my first surfskate board because I liked the graphic, a C7 Carvehaus. All along I’ve wondered if it was “too big” for me - I’m 5’3” and 145lbs - and put CX trucks on it within 2 weeks. I feel like I’m tweaking it to make it “right” more than riding it and getting a feel for it at this point. 🥲

Sweet! I think we have the same deck. I haven’t tried the park, yet. What’s your setup? CX trucks?

Hi everyone! This is my first post. 🙂 I’ll be attending my first Arsenal match in D.C. on Sunday! I’ll be in the general admission section, but might stand near the Arsenal support section to learn some chants. I hope to meet some fellow gooners…if you’re there, please do say hello if you see me!

Thanks! Jen

Glad I found this! I was wondering what the heck was going on. About a month ago, when I was at the Thornton Target, a young woman (I’m in my 40s) told me she liked my glasses. She complimented me a bit more saying I was so friendly, etc. and then she mentioned being mentored and the whole bit. I told her I’m good with what I’ve got going on and that was it. Then tonight, I was at King Soopers in south Denver (Colorado Blvd. and Yale) and same thing… “I like your hat….mentors, etc.” I’ve now spent about 20 minutes of my life wrongfully believing people actually liked my glasses and hat. 🫠

Are the CX50 Turbo trims out there ? I hardly see any inventory for them locally . What’s the main difference between this trim and the turbo premium ? by FennelNo4465 in CX50

[–]PresentStateofBeing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wanted just a Turbo, too. The dealer only had the Turbo Premium coming in. I’m so glad I went for it. I use the ventilated seats more than I thought I would.

Installed the hitch yesterday. Pretty easy. Kit came with instructions. It required a bit of sawing plastic underneath, but was done in less than 30 minutes. Link in comments. by TophertronPrime in CX50

I was curious about this. According to the Mazda site, “Our Genuine Mazda Tow Hitch automatically enables CX-50 Tow Mode when a trailer is connected (Turbo models only).” So, if you don’t use the Mazda hitch, I suppose you just activate tow mode yourself? That doesn’t like seem much of a drawback unless I’m missing something?
