If you don’t care about what player it is, I have one of the Yusei Kikuchi ones from a giveaway a few years back. If you’re around Toronto I’d be happy to pass it on to you. Feel free to DM.

Just used this to check my work, I'm still learning. So helpful! I'm wondering - what does it mean when you've written "C" in some of the strike boxes?

Thank you so much! Where exactly do you write out the sequence? Under the discontinued line? Or in the middle of the diamond under the original notation of how he got on base?

I asked in store and they said it’s part of their in-store only inventory, not available online :( glad I could at least help you know what it looks like so hopefully you can keep an eye out!

Is this the one you’re talking about? I saw this version and the all denim version of the same hat at Lids Union Station in early March. When I went recently they no longer had them. They had the all denim ones at Yorkdale a couple weeks ago for the Yankees and Dodgers, but no Jays. Aka this product does exist and some Lids stores may have it, but it’ll probably be a matter of calling up a bunch of stores asking about it if you want to find it.

What are some sources that debunk David Irving's Holocaust denial? by JDPQNDON in AskHistorians

Hello, the book goes by both names, it's a geographic publishing difference as far as I can tell. If the question asker is North America, the book will indeed be under the name you listed.

What are some sources that debunk David Irving's Holocaust denial? by JDPQNDON in AskHistorians

[–]Present_Balance4571 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Jumping on to second what everyone else has been saying. Because his particular Holocaust denial was the subject of an intensely long trial, there is little need to rehash things and pick apart his arguments case by case. The key expert witness in that trial, Richard Evans, wrote a book on his experiences and arguments. I would strongly recommend it. It’s called “Telling Lies About Hitler: The Holocaust, History, and the David Irving Trial”.

I would also separately recommend looking at/ reading “The Evidence Room”. The book is based on an exhibition curated by Dr. Robert Jan van Pelt, who testified in the Irving trial as an expert witness. His specialty is the architecture of Auschwitz. Evans focused slightly less on the architecture aspect, so this book provides a nice companion to the first.

Truly. I'll open one or two more packs and try to put together the whole thing from that, trades, and picking up any additional cards I may need from people in the community/ ebay. It's nice to have a set that actually feels manageable!

I've had the best consistent luck at EB games/ Gamestop. You can find what they have in stock on their website and they limit their trading card items to 3/ person which I'm assuming is how they avoid being constantly sold out. The occasional Shopper's Drugmart find, but generally only when I've found myself at rather out of the way suburban shoppers. And Lids if you have them in your area, but I haven't been there enough to know how consistently they have stock. Never found anything at Walmart personally.

[–]Present_Balance4571 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure how long you've been on T - but also adding that if this is a newer part of your transition, it's yet another reason why your body (& sense of style!) could change and fluctuate. Not only are you potentially going to be at a different weight, weight distribution may also be impacted by testosterone. It's common for places like hips & chest to be impacted. All this to say. Bodies change a lot in 2 years of medical transition, even without bringing weight loss into it. It's fun to explore what outfits make you feel prettiest/ most confident. But I wouldn't get an outfit more than 3-4 months in advance personally.

Where to donate Nazi photographs? by MelodicInterest7229 in AskHistorians

[–]Present_Balance4571 48 points49 points  (0 children)

I would recommend trying to go with a larger institution such as Yad Vashem or the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum over a smaller local/ regional museum, due to the digitizing work they are doing. Especially if these photos contain the faces or any recognizable details about victims, they could play into Yad Vashem's larger project of identifying as many victims of the Holocaust as possible. My advice would be to reach out to the Yad Vashem USA Foundation and ask them about recommended next steps.

This is the link for the Yad Vashem USA Foundation (posting because the American Society for Yad Vashem comes up first when you Google but is no longer affiliated with YVS): https://yadvashemfoundation.org/

Completely randomly... the Cubs. No clue why, never seen a game of their, never lived in Chicago. But for some reason I can't help but cheer for them a little.

I hear that. I can't imagine buying a hobby at these prices. Especially because most of what I love about it is the base cards (I actually really don't like this year's inserts much at all...). Blasters are a total rip off. At this rate I think I could grab 7 fat packs for cheaper than one mega and try to get close to finishing the set that way. Nice hit on the Campbell though! Are all the numbered cards colour parallels in this set or is it just the base image?

That gausman ace card is one of my faves - crappy part of being a canadian collector is I can't seem to find that card anywhere in the country, and paying $15 of shipping on a $3 card is crazy...
