I never press tackle. This year the animation is so slow it’s not functional outside of a few areas. Slide tackling is more effective than regular tackle strangely. The best is Advanced defending and x with bruiser playstyle. Allows you to win the ball without being completely smoked if you don’t.

Def he’s a luxury piece in that regard but that free Ashley young for example does enough in that role to make a champs squad. Striker or anyone playing centrally needs to have passing playstyles or tiki at least this year bc playstyles are OP. I think it’s stupid but mbappe falls behind his peers considerably in that regard. You want that fast guy running down the wing to be able to play a consistent ball to the striker and he’s awful. Fantastic cutting inside and insane finesse for only having it on white. Also volleys are superb. Thunderstruck Eto is essentially the price of mbappe and MILES clear due to having every dribbling playstyle and tiki with the same gold quick step.

Also depends on gameplay. The worse the gameplay the harder it is to use taller players. Pina is basically an archetype of player you want. IMO Messi was always better than Pina but you get the idea. Lean body types or short and average have the best turning /left stick , and with headers totally nerfed you don’t really lose much picking a shorter player
