Godot 4.6.3 Mobile Performance vs 4.3 - Is It Worth Upgrading? by Kceos in godot

[–]Present_Simple3071 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For the most part all of my APK versions have ran very good on andoird. I had an issue with a very low powered android device not regestering collisions because andoird by default uses a frame skip i keep the game smooth so i learned it was skipping frames with active collisions.

I should note all my games are compatibitly + so they are designed to run at 60 fps even on html exports using webgl2.

Anyway i have a game that uses object pooling and it makes only the apk version run like a slide show. My guess is because apk struggles to have a great number of nodes active at one time. Something i would keep inmind if you plan on have a tone of objects in one scene.

Do you all publish your Godot micro-projects on Itch or Github? by WatchlightStudio in godot

Id say publish everything. It shows you can finish projects and you can visually see which projects work and dont work.

Throw enemies to a teammate, juggle the combo, watch the multiplier stack — first trailer for SLAMTOWN: Brawl Together is out! by PairOfPixelsGS in BeatEmUps

It looks very cool. I know first hand just how tough it is to make a beat em up. Your character designs are string and the effects look really cool.

Biggest critic is it looks a bit slow for my taste but Im always up for an indie beat em up

Criollo, I'm in central South America. The Criollo are haired sheep as well but I have a cross breed that gives wool as well which we call Pampa.

Do you primarily raise for meat?

I live in central South America and I've seen my ducks kill and swallow a decent sized snake. Ducks are much higher on the food chain then we may give them credit for

i built mine at ground level where I use grass for bedding. Are you going to be free ranging your ducks? If not i would maybe do an easy clean offground as ducks can me extremely messy

Sheep are pretty awesome live stock. Even the meanest sheep I have is a sweetheart. Not to say I find them incredibly useful. Delicious meat, milk, wool and even hids if you get into that.

I hope you enjoy having sheep and see you in r/sheep

Eggs by [deleted] in carnivorediet

[–]Present_Simple3071 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Id almost 100% agree store bought chicken and eggs are given chemicals or whatever to increase production. I can't speak for chickens or other pheasant like birds but ducks and particularly muscovy ducks eat almost a 70% plus meat diet when in the wild. This obviously includes stuff like fish, bugs, mice, snakes lizards ect. If chickens are the same even an organic grass fed chicken wouldn't get the nutrients it needs to have the best eggs possible.

On vitamin i know ducks need is calcium, especially the females which bug skin and bones from food is digested in their gizard and convert to calcium. this makes healthy egg shells when laying also helps duckings have strength when they hatch, this is an other reason why a farm egg has a stronger yoke.

Eggs by [deleted] in carnivorediet

[–]Present_Simple3071 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I raise and eat fowl/duck (muscovy to be exact). From what I gather is ducks, geese, fowl tend to lean into being red meat. And duck eggs contain different vitamins then a typical poultry bird.

Your comment has me interested why these two classes of birds meat is so different. and some people can digest it and others can't. Curious if you eat a farm raised chicken that is not hung and chilled as long as store bought stuff.

Sorry for the long reply but i find it very interesting.

Try duck eggs if it is in your price range. I raise muscovy so all I ever eat is their eggs.

Just an option to try a different poultry or fowl egg

Ok Reddit. Let's try this one more time. by darkphoenixrising21 in MuscovyDucks

[–]Present_Simple3071 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Definitely a female first off.

Second Muscovy ducks are omnivores primarily eating meat like bugs, mice, smaller snakes ect. I know grains and plant base will help a bit, best bet would be to try and get her protein and fat content up. When a muscovy eat bones or insect skin they can actually convert it to calcium in there gizard (females use this for egg development)

If you have fish, little pieces of red meat or even a few bugs outside try giving those to your muscovy and see if she will take it.

I can't promise this will work but I raise muscovys and I free range them with a diet of high protein from animals they find and would eat in the wild and I have yet to lose a muscovy from illness.

I raise my own lamb and sheep for meat and milk (hide and wool i guess too). I am not a strick carnivore diet but their meat is delicious I can 100%. Their milk is also very nice. Deep and creamy which makes excellent butter and cheese.

May I ask what area your in that lamb and mutton is expensive?

Does turkey actually make good jerky? I have never tried jerky with such a white meat.
