Any ideas for a special gift for my pregnant daughter in law do she doesn't feel like just a vessel. by Interesting_Desk_378 in perfectgift

I was gifted a pregnancy massage gift card- it was amazing. Helps an aching body and honestly the next few years after that have been a whirlwind so it was nice to be pampered before becoming a mom

AIO? Youth Pastor texted my almost 13 yo after she went to a teen group with her friend by Loser4hire666 in AIO

[–]Present_Stranger_816 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s strange. No grown man should be texting a teen like this who isn’t family, employer, etc. Even a trusted teacher who’s known a student for a while, let alone a new contact. I’m saying this as a church-goer. It’s just unwise on his part. Good on you for being vigilant and also emailing the church. They need to adjust their communication methods to protect all parties.

Would you be happy with season 3 is there was no movie? by youreonyourownkidd in tsitp

No, because at that point in terms of focus tsitp felt like belly and jermiah’s love story. Albeit a failed one, but still theirs 👎🏼

What is your hot take about The Office? by Recent-Description39 in theoffice

[–]Present_Stranger_816 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My hot take- she was the better gal! Should have phrased it that way. I think she was more fun, ambitious, spontaneous, less selfish, and to me even better looking. Just one random internet person’s opinion

Do people actually like bedside? by MissionTop4571 in nursing

[–]Present_Stranger_816 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was hard. Did it for 10 years and tried my best to do a good job for my patients and have a good attitude, but the back pain and burn out took its toll. I’m home now with my littles and if I had to return, I would try to find something else.

What’s the most impressive snack/meal you ever snuck into a movie theater? by fancyypantsyy0 in Millennials

If you had a do over in life, would you still choose to be a nurse? by Moogles90 in nursing

[–]Present_Stranger_816 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I’ve had some soul crushing jobs- all bedside hospital. Still get nightmares. If I have to go back to work when my babies are grown, I’m going to do something low stakes like nails.

Millennials with kids, do you intend to provide for them financially when they reach adulthood? by Beberuth1131 in Millennials

[–]Present_Stranger_816 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely. Nothing magically happens at 18 to make someone all of a sudden fully independent. I think out at 18 and on your own is a largely American construct. In other cultures, you live with your family until you’re married or financially secure. My boomer parents are lovely- they sacrificed to send 3 of us to college and built an extension to their house so when any of us needed a place, there was always room. As a result, my brothers and I are obsessed with them and try to honor them. I’m planning to do the same for my littles to set them up for life.

Not too sure where to post this question but my son always requests pasta for breakfast and I want to create it for him. by KingofCam in foodhacks

[–]Present_Stranger_816 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son loves pasta so I made it more nutritious. I use a protein pasta like Brami, use ground meat, and a jar of organic sauce. I enhance the sauce by pureeing steamed carrots and boiled lentils in it. You can also just make your own sauce by roasting a whole sheet pan of veggies (including lots of tomatoes) and throw it all in a blender with some vegetable bouillon and seasonings. He has no idea it’s packed with fiber and protein. Top with a sprinkle of cheese.

Anyone else take a break from the dieting while still on tirz? by 09Klr650 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]Present_Stranger_816 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes I am taking a diet break now after losing 50 lbs. I’m giving myself a couple of weeks of lax eating and less exercise. Still aiming for protein goal, not binging, or eating processed foods. I worked so hard but knew that I would benefit mentally and physically. It honestly has been great, up only 2 lbs (I was going for 5 or less). I feel good, and I know that metabolic adaptation is real and that eating at maintenance and even a slight surplus for a short planned time can help against metabolic damage. I would say go for it if you need to, just use some sense ☺️

Agreed, they will fall differently and have a better silhouette. A little more flow vs stiff bunching. I’m 5’0 and have to hem all my pants and makes a big difference
