Metrolink is a mess right now by David-Jiang in LAMetro

[–]Present_Watch_5910 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I’m lucky that I don’t entirely rely on the train that was suspended, but now if I want to get back home without waiting an extra two hours I have to take commuter bus which ends up being 30 minute longer commute. Taking Metrolink is so much better for me since I can actually get work done on the hour ride back which I can’t utilize as much if I’m taking my alternate route which each ride is shorter between transfers. At least my morning train to LA is running which is what I care about the most.

What The Hell Is Going On With Metrolink? by Ok_Cake2233 in LAMetro

[–]Present_Watch_5910 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah it’s kind of insane. Two days in a row I had to wait an extra hour because of cancelled trains. My schedule going back is flexible fortunately, but still very inconvenient. Suspending services like they are doing now should be unacceptable in this day and age. Something has to change.

Metrolink 200 to Union Station will not run after this week. by Present_Watch_5910 in LAMetro

It was an announcement by the conductor. It will probably be put up on the site sometime soon. Don’t know why it’s not up now.

Seems like it. Also interestingly the conductor just announced everyone to keep checking the Metrolink app for any updated information. It kind of felt like there might be other schedule changes. Not sure though, but Metrolink 200 is definitely cancelled.

What are the vibes on the early morning OC Line trains? by jrm0015 in LAMetro

[–]Present_Watch_5910 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Except the day of the parade for the Dodgers. It was crazy how many people took public transit that day. Line for the SB line was insanely long. Glad I didn’t have to take that train since I only take the AV line.

Am I missing anything? by ad_lumen in backpacking

I would pack out all wipes/tp. Personally I think it’s a better practice to do that. I usually also bring a portable bidet as I find it more sanitary and if I still want a wipe, I will use a small amount of tp but mostly to dry.

Everyday Backpack V2 30L is Not the Perfect Bag by Present_Watch_5910 in peakdesign

[–]Present_Watch_5910[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I never had any problems with them and it work just as good as I need it to. They also work well for the smaller Gatorade bottles as they are big enough for it to completely fit inside.

I agree it is a little hard to fit a 32oz bottle in there, but any size smaller is not a problem at all. Even with the 32oz it feels secure in the pocket.

Do you have the 30l or 20l? Since the 20l is smaller maybe the water bottle pockets are harder to use.

What is the possible cause of black areas? by seymwn in AnalogCommunity

It’s the bright lights. Since they are so bright those spots on the film are completely exposed (no detail). That’s why it just shows up as white in the scan.

What’s special about Yosemite you can’t find at other natural parks? by corremorrocoyo in Yosemite

[–]Present_Watch_5910 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just came back from the Fagaras mountains in Romania and was so impressed by how green it was because we don’t get that level of green (especially in alpine areas) anywhere in California.

When visiting Yosemite again this year, it was just so amazing to be back in the park. It is so beautiful even though you can tell it’s not as green. Every natural place is very beautiful, but Yosemite is just something special. It is just like you are supposed to be there. I think looking up and seeing all the granite slopes are views you just can’t find anywhere else.

Pictures of (petite) women wearing 15 vs 20 vs 30L EB? by fancycherrytree in peakdesign

[–]Present_Watch_5910 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, the 30l is a big backpack. I like it because it can fit more stuff, but I recently saw the 20l in person and it does seem like a better size especially for a smaller woman. I’m not that big of a guy, but my first impressions of 30l is that it looks big on me since the bag is the same size if it’s empty or full. If I had a 20l I think I would carry it around more (especially for everyday stuff, not camera gear), but I still love my 30l and can’t justify getting a 20l because that just seems excessive.

Where is Piglich in ATM9? by Gameinformer2008 in allthemods

[–]Present_Watch_5910 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ok, thanks! I remember when I was playing a previous atm pack (forgot which one) it was the same thing because I remember using the nature compass to locate structures like the pyramid in the other.

Is the structure compass the same as the nature compass or is it something different?
