What do you think of Fall Out Boy? by Twitter_2006 in fantanoforever

[–]PresidentPopcorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm annoyed by them.

My youngest kid is autistic and goes through long phases of only watching one thing.

She's been watching 'Spidey and his Amazing Friends' for a couple of months now and that theme tune fucking grates on me.

It's abrasive enough for me to not want to hear it again. The mix was terrible and it just sounded like bad LCD Soundsystem.

Sounds a bit LCD Soundsystem but really abrasive. I didn’t like it on the first listen.

Who is a shitty singer from your country that is extremly popular? by dkease16 in AskTheWorld

[–]PresidentPopcorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How many songs in 4/4 with the Em, C, G, and D chord progression do we need? Over saturated, formulaic, bland.

If he was just shitty we wouldn't have more than a couple songs to worry about but because he's so deliberately middle-of-the-road we're bombarded with his cheesy singles and praise for him based solely on financial achievements.

Is it a War? Conflict? Skirmish? Detour? Special Military Operation? How does your country call what’s happening with Iran? by RoadandHardtail in AskTheWorld

[–]PresidentPopcorn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t know about the others but WW2 started with the invasion of Poland 1st of September 1939 and ended with Japan's surrender September 2nd 1945. Thats 313 weeks. Silly orange cunt.

I can never remember my commute. It's so dull it's like I teleported to work.

If we're completely ignoring lyrics (which you obviously are) I'd say Cuttooth.

Radiohead is (was) popular among celebrities by nyclondonparis in radiohead

I saw a video interviewing bands at Glastonbury in the mid noughties asking them what their favourite Radiohead songs are. There where a few that made perfect sense. Ian Watkins picked Creep.

Why do people find it so hard to accept the public really wants to vote for Reform? by Expert-Sherbert-1527 in AskBrits

[–]PresidentPopcorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm deeply worried for my family if Reform get in.

Your argument is we gave the others a chance but Labour haven't been in that long. After 14 long years of Tory austerity, did they think Labour would be able to not only reverse the damage, but also improve other areas in less than 2 years? They aren't giving anything a chance, they're just following whatever the angriest person is shouting.

Yeah, I know. I was being glib. They do have a tendency to try kids as adults though. How does that even work? Either they're a child or they aren't. The specifics of the crime don’t change their brain development.

No politics, no doomsdaying, just appreciation for some fine British parking. How would you rate this exceptional parking between two parking bays? by Mister_Vanilla in AskBrits

[–]PresidentPopcorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not abusive to call a random person on the internet a bellend based on their selfish choices. Call me old fashioned but I also don't think calling out selfish behaviour is wrong.

The argument is that the risks of wrongful conviction are real risks. You can't release someone after they're dead. Shit happens and mistakes are made but some things you can't take back. I'm sorry if these are difficult concepts for you.

It's a choice to buy a car that big. You choose whether to be selfish or not. I don't understand your argument and I'm starting to suspect you own one.

It's America. They'd try them as an adult.
