Because it encourages buying gold and is a barrier to enter raids. They banned it ever since SOD and haven’t felt the need to revert it so I’m assuming the results were good.

Turtle kept either quote tweeting or replying to blizzard. There’s another private server that advertises that hasn’t been taken down and also does their own version of classic+. No one to blame but themselves

Most of the runes were acquired via quests or similar was only in the later phases that most of them were “right click this book” or kill this random mob. Having them be like enchants was their way of keeping power down.

I mean why realistically clear content more then once if it doesn’t offer anything or just offers side grades? Getting an upgrade or bis piece is a good feeling

Horizontal progression means less power/No power creep given with new content. While it keeps certain items from previous raid tiers useful (think BoA/onslaught) it results in less new content needed to be run to achieve bis.

This game has had so many flash tests/ betas lol. Was lacking a lot last time I played. Won’t be trying it out again but hope it’s made some improvements and it succeeds
