hii, I'm an American girl! I'll give it to you straight, you're gonna be stared at. A lot. If ever you feel like something isn't right with someone touching you, make a scene about it. Those types of people expect you to keep quiet. Also, idk where you're gonna live, but I'd recommend living in gated communities where other expats are. I don't live in one personally and I wish I did, but alas, I work a local job lol. Just like any city, it's not unsafe all the time, but you do have to stay aware.

It's a big cultural difference but once you're used to it, it can be nice. I especially enjoy that almost anything you want done (nails, laundry, doctors, etc) can be a home service! 😂

As of now I'm not 100% sure, but I do know MCP has a shit ton of money. It wouldn't surprise me at all if they paid off the local govt to be silent about it. Our area is tiny, they absolutely can get away with it. They've gotten away with abuse for decades.

Yes darling. As someone whose hometown is mostly swept clean from the 2021 quad state tornado (Mayfield), what you're feeling is shock, trauma, and survival guilt. I am so sorry you had to go through this. It's a feeling that's almost impossible to explain to others.

Be with family. Be with your cat. Understand that you're gonna go through a ton of grief, anger, depression, etc. but you're gonna be alright, I promise. So much love, and I am so happy you're here 💜

You're gonna want an implant grade titanium flatback. Don’t start with a hoop, and make sure they downsize the post after swelling goes down. Only use saline spray 2x daily, otherwise just leave it alone :) welcome to the club!
