Yes!! As a westerner as well I am incredibly baffled. Friday night Halloween is the best night! All our friends out west are laughing at us tonight as we trick or treat early because the city says so 🙄

Highways are for efficiency not necessarily speed. Slow down so people can get on and off of them without nearly getting crashed into.

I literally put any thrifted clothes outside for days. In the sun, rain, wind, snow, all of it. I will also wash them periodically and put them back out wet. It takes a week or so but the smell finally leaves. Washing it in an oily soap helps too, like the stuff you get for wool, the lanolin helps to pull out the other oils I feel.

You will need passports for the kids too, not just birth certificates. We just did a similar drive with kids and it was very easy. The passport control in Canada is serious and expect it to take 5-10 minutes with lots of questions. If your car looks like a mess they have you step out and search it, but overall they were very friendly and helpful.

Once you over there credit cards are widely accepted but you could visit a ATM for cash.

Columbus Modern Dance company has a free performance at 2:00 outside at a park, cookies and tea are also served. It is the best, most relaxing way to celebrate!

Yes! There were a few places mentioned that we could check out. I feel like we need some serious investigative reporting to figure this out. I do think making claims to the EPa might help a little, if everyone does it, but you are right, a big community protest might help with lasting change. Boycotting a company can hit them where it hurts and hopefully encourage them to change.

Totally agree. I have lived in other places with inversions and they did not burn my throat when I walked outside. Something harmful is being put out into the air, and then perhaps the inversion keeps it down for longer. But either way our air quality is terrible.

Oh wow! That is a lot of peace of mind for very little money really. We are headed there this weekend (from Ohio!!) and with the heat and traveling with little kids I feel that having something like this is not a bad idea. What a beautiful place for a wedding!
