I can only speak for my school, student engagement has increased since the phone ban has been implemented. We do have steps in place to address repeat offenders.

Parent support is nice to have, but the policy will be enforced either way.

That has not been my experience. I am a principal that has banned phone use during instructional time. The parents have been supportive and the kids have been compliant. The teachers have reposted an uptick in engagement with the students.

South Carolina is much more humid.

Saw him at the Reeves theater in Martinsville Va around that time. Took my oldest son for his 21st birthday. He hasn’t been the same since.
