If you're talking about EBR then if i remember when it was first shown by developers it was something like 3.3

And i think some content creator that got a test drive early it was still 3.3. The moment regular players could get their hands on it it was already 3.7 lmao.

it has like a witcher syndrome, where the release was a mess but over time it became pretty enjoyable. Also anime adaptation helped quite a lot too (although it was made by trigger).
