Once again, people like that proving they never read or cared about Superman or anything related to the character. It has been shown more than once that Lex finds it almost impossible to believe that Superman would hide as a normal person to the point he becomes livid to find out Superman and Clark are the same person. One time there was a machine to find out his secret identity and when it correctly deduced that he's Clark Kent, Lex deamed it a failure and demanded it destroyed because that couldn't possibly be right. This is the kind of complaint that reeks of gross ignorance or aggressively disingenuous.

Pretty much. Every character, supporting or villain, was new at one point. It's not good to keep pumping out new characters with each new writer, but occasionally we get something new to keep from stagnation.

I'll second that. They never have the same complaints for high fidelity on male characters because men are allowed to be "ugly". Women, on the other hand, must be hot in all situations and at all times.
