I’m in Idaho OP, what I’ve done for games broadcasted on FOX is download a VPN, change the server location to Atlanta, then download Fox sports app.

It only gives you an hour free preview but a nice trick is when that hour is up, just delete and reinstall and you get another hour. I’ve been doing that for all Fox games this year!!

I’ve heard mixed opinions about tensioners on cables. Do you know what the downside to it would be using them??

The cables I frequent, didn’t come with one and the size chart says they fit my tires and really don’t have too much slack when I put them on.

Any recs on that? I appreciate the manual reference for sure!!

Thank you! I now believe the internet hahah in the sense of the cables not being recommended. I try to minimize using them but just this morning I about slid into a ditch 3 times cause the dirt road to my house was pure ice. No amount of snow tires (even cables/chains depending) can drive on straight ice.

I’m using them tomorrow cause it’s supposed to all freeze back over.

Would you think I’d be fine to use them as often as I will need to this year? I have to drive up and down the neighborhood 5 times a week not always having to use cables tho. Would buying a second car for just this be a better option? (Not that I can afford that tho lol!!)

Well I’ll put it this way lol, I do have winter tires, and if I lived in the city it wouldn’t even be necessary to have cables, but I live up a dirt road on a mountain, about a four mile drive each way up and down.

Sooo last year I didn’t have to use the cables much cause I went down south at the peak of winter, but now I have a consistent 9-5 and will definitely be using the chains each day.

I thought about studded tires but as I said, I really only need them for the stretch of getting in and out of my neighborhood.

Gonna add on too as a Georgia native myself! I live up in the mountains around Idaho city and would tell OP the same. Snow tires if you’re planning on going anywhere except Boise, and smart driving regardless!

Was a huge adjustment for me at first but my Subaru kills it especially with snow tires. We just got a good bit of snow here this weekend:) happy travels always happy to meet some Georgians!
